el had just tied the strings of her apron behind her back when the bell of her door rang. she smoothed the fabric with her palms and creased her eyebrows at the sound.

will isn't supposed to be back until shortly after six pm, he has to finish a fine art project that is due to today — and it was barely 5:20 pm.

it couldn't be mike either. she told him to come around six pm - it was too early for him to show up at her doorstep, not that she could imagine him dying to spend extra time with her anyway.

she unsurely made her way towards the door and opened it with curiosity, the little slit she was looking out of widened when she saw the person in front of her.

much to her surprise it actually was mike standing there and he was even dressed up pretty nicely. alright, dressed up might've been a bit of an overstatement.

instead of his usual hoodies or t-shirts, he settled for a beige-colored sweater vest and wore a simple white button-up underneath.

as she studied him slack-jawed, he crookedly pointed his index finger towards her mouth. "drooling all over the floor by just looking at me? i didn't know we've reached that stage of our relationship yet."
