bonus chapter (ii)

set 2 months after the epilogue —
while on a family vacation
with their daughter, daisy

when joyce and hopper announced that they bought a nice vacation house in california a couple years ago, they all knew that this place would be a nice little getaway for family vacations throughout the year.

mike and el have been there only once when it was first bought and didn't have the time to go there again ever since.

well, until now.

joyce was eager to have a little family vacation together and the stars seemed to align when each and everyone in the family —including jonathan— found the time to meet up at the california house for a few days.

mike and el, however, arrived some days earlier than the rest to enjoy some family time with daisy alone. they've never been on any type of vacation together since their baby was born and this just seemed like the perfect opportunity.

they enjoyed the hell out of the pool and jacuzzi.

"splash her!" mike encouraged daisy as she waddled her hands in the water and splashed it all over her mom. "yeah, that's my girl!"

"stop!" el squealed.

daisy giggled uncontrollably as her dad cheered on her, her excitement doubled up so much that the movement of her arms going up and down splashed more water on her.

"help!" el squealed, "i can't believe she's siding with you!"

mike just laughed, scooping daisy even higher as he pressed a kiss on her chubby cheek. the laugh that resounded from her made them both smile brightly, it's their favorite sound to ever exist.

"good job, little flower." mike said as he tickled her belly.

"little flower?" el shot him a pointed gaze over while raising one of her brows, "god, you're so corny."

"i can be even cornier with you." he came closer, curling one of his fingers in the elastics of her bikini, "i mean, you can't spell angel without el."

she burst out laughing, unable to control her laughter. "can't believe it took you this long to come up with this."

he grinned, dipping his head down to press a quick kiss on her lips. it took everything in her not to melt right into his gentle touch and want to prolong this moment for just a little longer.

daisy yawned when he pulled away, her hand curled around mike's neck as she nuzzled towards him.

"seems like we tired her out." he sheepishly grinned.

el instinctively reached for her, wrapping her arms around her and hugged her towards her chest as she gently swayed side to side.

"we should put her to bed." el said once they stepped out of the jacuzzi.

mike wrapped a towel around daisy, watching the way she slowly blinked and kept yawning. "definitely."

he wrapped another towel around el, rubbing her arms dry in slow motions and pressed a kiss to her temple. "can't wait to spend some alone time with my hot wife in her new sexy bikini."
