To leave the apartment, we take my private elevator. This time, I decide to take her home with my sport bike. I hand my helmet over to her. I know that she doesn't want to talk right now, so by taking the bike she won't feel the awkward silence as she would if she were in the car. It's clearly the first time that she's been on a bike. I tell her to hang on to me. I love the way how her arms feel around me, and how her hands reposition to hold either my hips, abs or chest. Unfortunately, the ride to her house is short, shorter than I would have liked. I so desperately want to claim her, but for now, I will settle with what she is willing to give.

I walked her to her door to make sure that she's safely locked inside. She hands me my helmet, then to my surprise, she comes in close, and puts her arms around me. She then stands on her tippy-toes to kiss me. With her soft lips against mine, I wrap my left arm around her, and rest my hand on her back with my helmet, then with my right hand and place it on the base of her neck. I don't want the kiss to end. I deepen the kiss so that I can taste her, she tastes sweet and longing. I can smell her arousal, and I am sure that she can feel mine. Now is not the time, especially with some of my Pack watching. Reluctantly, I pull away, then I slowly kiss her lips once more.

"You better go inside before I decide to take you back home with me, make sure you lock the door and I'll call you tomorrow".

She didn't say anything, just blushed and went inside the house. Once her door is closed and I hear the click from the lock, I turn towards my bike, that's when I hear a cat-call whistle from my left. I recognize that scent. As I walk back to my bike, I say loud enough for him to hear from where he's keeping watch.

"Tommie, your such an ass. Keep focused on your task."

If he had a response, I didn't hear it over my revving engine. Before I head back to my apartment for the night, I need to check in with Gavin and Lucas. As I ride to the Pack house, I can still smell her on my clothes and taste her on my lips. I miss her already.

I pull into the Pack house driveway and parked my bike out back. First, I'll check-in with Gavin since the library is on the way to Lucas' office.

"Hey Gavin. How goes the research?"

"Hey! Well, as you know I have been looking into everything that I can get my hands onto, unfortunately, I haven't been able to find anything more than I already did, but hopefully, Pack Headquarters has better luck. The good news is that we have a pretty solid theory about her back ground. Which will also explain her green eyes."

"I too have a theory about her green eyes, I think one of her parents is a White Witch and one is a Wolf."

"Hey, way to go! You ruined my punch line. But of course, we will need a sample of her blood to prove that. This theory might also match with what Lucas was able to find out through one of our law enforcements. Lucas' source said that he looked into the circumstances around Shannon's adoption and then to dug into the report around her parent's death."

"OK, start with her adoption."

"According to the mundane police report, attached to her adoption file, after the house fire and death of her parents, Shannon was taken to a hospital for an injury to her back, and then put into foster care. After no one claimed her, she was ultimately adopted by her current adoptive parents."

"Yes, Shannon told me this."

"But what she doesn't know is more interesting... Our source said that he looked at the mundane police report, and the pictures of the house fire suggests it's a magical homicide. He said there were Witch symbols all over the house, some of which he recognized as fire; and according to the police data base, the man and woman falsified their personal information by creating fake names known as, Karen and Jason Smith. Their records showed that they existed only about eighteen years ago. At the time, they estimated the child to be about one years old and possibly kidnapped. To rule this out, they decided to run DNA testing on the deceased against that of the child; it was a match. It was then deemed an accidental death by the mundane police and since there was no suggestion of supernatural forces being involved, no further action was done by any of the Underworld. Thankfully, their DNA was kept on file should the case be reopened. Our source had the DNA retested in one of our labs, and it confirms that the male had DNA markers for being a Wolf, and the DNA on the female were that of a White Witch."

"And what about the DNA of the child? Were they human or something else?"

"It confirms the child is a female... and that she has the DNA of both Wolf and Witch."

"That has to be Shannon."

"It's highly likely Shannon, but we still need a sample of her DNA to prove it."

"This is great news. Where is Lucas?"

"He is in his study with some of the Pack Headquarters that have arrived. They're very keen to meet with her, especially now that they have this information."

"Thanks, Gavin, for all of your hard work and filling me in."

As I head to Lucas' study, I am relieved that we may have some answers about Shannon's family history. If her DNA matches, then hopefully less testing will be required. I don't like the idea of anyone poking and prodding her like a lab rat, especially my own kind. I can understand the curiosity and I can even understand the potential threat that she could be, but she also has a Wolf... That has to count for something, and give her some kind of rights. I have a feeling it's going to be a long night.
