Jaemin's forehead was dripping in cold sweat. His eyes have both been shut, and his body shook as he struggled on his bed. His brows wrinkled, creating lines in his forehead, as if he was in distress. His spirits were hurting more than anything physical, and his heart sank as he saw what he had been experiencing.

"Yujin! Yujin!" he yelled through his dreams in the dim light of his room. Tears flowed down his cheeks as his chest rose and fell in time with his heartbeats. Time appears to go slowly for him, as if everything is designed to pain him on the inside.

"I'm home," Yujin announced, despite the fact that no one was there to welcome her

"I'm home," Yujin announced, despite the fact that no one was there to welcome her. Yujin had just returned home late from a part-time job at a convenience store near her school. Each step she took into her house was torture as she held in the aching in her belly from what had happened at school.

Bruises were all over her arms, which she covered with her cardigan so no one could see them. Yujin moved her gaze across the messy living room to her mother's room across the hall. "Mom, I'm home," she said, glancing at her motionless mother, who was laying on her back in bed. Her mother smiles and pats the spot at the bedside for her to sit on.

"School went nice today, and I got my pay," she said, holding her mother's hand. Her mother's eyes welled up with tears as she saw her beautiful daughter suffer as a result of her broken family.

"I'm sorry," she sobbed softly. Yujin shakes her head in disapproval. "It's all right; it's not your fault. Simply put, life has not been kind to us. Believe me, we will be happy again one day "Yujin said. At the very least, she must be strong for her mother.

Yujin shut the door to her mother's bedroom, allowing her to sleep, and made her way to the kitchen to eat something, since she hadn't eaten anything since a piece of outdated bread from the shop. Thanking her stomach for having such a good digestive system.

Yujin then took her notes from her schoolbag and began revising them while eating. "Ugghh, I wish I was excellent at English," she whispered to herself, rolling her eyes at the English notes she was holding.

The loud sound of the front door opening causes her to flinch in her seat. She turned around to find her drunk uncle entering the home. His body swayed from side to side as a result of his alcohol intoxication.

"Yujin-ah," her uncle sang her name, sending thrills inside her, causing her to act fast, grabbing every penny she had in her bag and shoving them at him. "This is everything I got. Get out or I'll call the police," she stated, pushing her uncle away.

Donghae gave out a sick laugh before turning around and face Yujin, who was much smaller. His gaze traveled across her face and down to her body. Yujin was caught off guard by his actions. Donghae gasped as she slapped him across the face.

He spun around, taking her wrist in his grip and dragging her closer to him as his eyes grew enraged. "How dare you?" he yelled straight in her face. Yujin use all of her last power to flee from him, slipping away.

When she tried to get away, Donghae grinned and grabbed her other wrist. Yujin gasped as her uncle pressed his head into her neck, laying a few kisses here and there that she was sure left a mark on.

"Stop," she cried as she wriggled away from him, but he was so much bigger than her that she couldn't fight him. Tears welled up at the corners of her eyes. She was even surprised when her uncle placed his hand on her chest and unbuttoned every button on her shirt.

Yujin didn't hesitate to bite his uncle's ear, which was visible in her eyes, and it was working when his grasp on her wrist loosened as he shrieked in pain. Yujin took her chances and dashed inside the kitchen, grabbed a knife to protect herself.

"Go away, I don't want to hurt anyone," she wailed, yelling at her uncle to leave her alone. Instead, his nasty chuckle echoed. He approached Yujin cautiously, confident that he would not be harmed.

Yujin's hands trembled at his sight, and sweat formed over her brow, forcing her to drop the knife she was holding. Yujin screamed as she tried to flee inside her mother's room, but she was stopped when Donghae grabbed her hair and yanked her back towards him.

"Where do you think you're going?" he snarled, keep on yanking Yujin. Yujin was too weak to struggle any further, yet she had a deep desire to survive. A gasp left Donghae's lips as he felt a sharp pain on his left side, forcing him to let Yujin go.

Donghae turned to face Yujin's mother, who was holding a knife in her hands and stabbing him to the left. Donghae's eyes widen as every vein in his neck become visible. Yujin's mother let go of the knife, sobbing as she looked at her brother.

Yujin realized what had happened, but it was too late as Donghae pulled the knife out from his side and rushed to stab her mother. "No!! stop!!" Yujin's voice resonated loudly yet sounded muffled in his ears.

"Yujin, run!!"
