Yujin sits up straight after opening her eyes to a dark room. Her gaze roved aimlessly around the empty room. Her finger ran through her hair as she recalled she was in Jaemin's room. She got up and turned on the lights.
"Na Jaemin," she muttered as she made her way to the bathroom to wash her face. Her white tshirt, drenched from the wash, led her straight to Jaemin's wardrobe. She then opens them, exposing black and white clothes lines.
"Wow, minimalist," she chuckled. Her eyes was drawn to the mint-colored hoodie at the end of the clothing line. She picks up the hoodie and pulls it over her with a sly grin. Her hands were hidden from the paws by the baggy hoodie.
After a brief glance in the mirror, the girl tied her hair into a messy bun and retrieved her bag from the chair, where all the books had been cleared up, most likely by Jaemin. She later went out of the room.
She noticed Jaemin's mother in the living room as she slowly climbed down the stairs. Her face was then plastered with a small smile. Yujin approached the woman in the pink outfit and placed her arms over her shoulder.
"Hey, honey," greeted her loves one's mother. "Are you leaving?" she asked. Yujin sat next to the lady and nodded her head. "Jaemin let me sleep so he wouldn't have to do his math homework," the girl complained.
Jia burst out laughing, causing Yujin to smile as well. "When you laugh, you look exactly like Jaemin," she said, wrapping her hands with Jaemin's mother. The lady then brought the girl closer to her in her hug.
"I've always wished for a daughter. I can't believe I finally have one "she said, gently stroking the girl's head. Yujin was as enthralled by the woman's warmth as she was by her mother's hug. "I miss her," she expressed.
"That must be hard for you," Jia said, looking into the girl's eyes. "You're very beautiful. Your mother must be attractive as well "She added as she stroked a strand of hair away from the girl's face. "She was," Yujin said with a smile.
"Wait, did I just disturb something?" Jia and Yujin were instantly drawn to Jaemin's deep voice. His mother sighed and rolled her eyes. "Yujin honey, stay for dinner okay?" she said as she stood up and walked to the kitchen.
Yujin nodded, her attention turning to Jaemin. She stood up and gave the boy a cold stare. Jaemin swallowed the knot in his throat, knowing exactly what the girl is thinking. "Come here, you devil," she growled as she ran towards him.
Jaemin ran away from the girl who was chasing him around. Jaemin then plopped down on the couch, and Yujin seized the opportunity to straddle him and tickle his belly making Jaemin's voice echoed with laughter.
"I'm sorry," the boy pleaded as he clutched the girl's wrist. Following his laughter, the boy sought to take a breath. "That was tough," he said as he sat on the couch, Yujin on his lap. "You love to mess with my weakness, don't you?" he said.
Yujin looked down on him with a smug smile, touching his face as she squeezed him. "Of course," she said. Jaemin stared as Yujin played with his silky black hair, and her eyes lit up from the lighting inside the room.
Later he noticed his mint-colored hoodie. "Hey, that's mine!" he cried as he grabbed the string's end. Yujin teased him by sticking her tongue out. Jaemin laughed as he saw the girl embrace herself and claim the hoodie as her own.
"Dinner," Jia voiced out.
They climbed down from the couch and walked hand in hand to the dining area.
"Hey, Min! What do you get for college?" The phone echoed Bi's voice. As he parked his car in front of Yujin's house, the boy replied, "It's Neo." "Oh my gosh, you're coming back!" exclaimed the girl, bouncing into her seat.
"What about Yujin?" the girl asked. "I don't know. On my way to find out, "he replied, as he hung up on Bi after saying goodbyes. Jaemin exited his car, hearing the front door of the girl's house flung open. "Jaemin!!" the girl exclaimed.
Yujin dashed across her yard and leaped into the arms of the black-haired boy. Yujin secured herself by wrapping her legs around his waist. As she leaned closer to Jaemin, his laughter resonated in her ears. "I got Neo," she said.
"Really?" The boy was both surprised and delighted. "For Architecture and Arts," the girl said with a nod. Jaemin's eyes shine with joy as he embraces the girl tightly in his arm.
"Here we come Neo," he whispered only heard by the two of them.
Just being next to each other
Makes me happy
