Jaemin look at himself for one last time, having a different high school uniform on was very weird for him after years on wearing the same one. Jaemin let his long hair covers his forehead, to bother to style them up like how he used to.
"Good morning dad, mom and nana," he greeted ass soon as he approached them at the dining table. "Good morning, wow you look good," he's father teased looking at him up and down.
Jaemin grinned back at his father, knowing how much the old man enjoyed teasing him and how this would quickly turn into a brag session. "You know, I used to look like that." Jaemin rolled his eyes as he ate his breakfast close to his grandmother.
Jaemin's mother giggled and shook her head. "Still, I think I look more like mum," he replied, flipping his hair. With a dissatisfied expression on his face, his father shakes his head. He jiggled the keys on his finger and added,
"Shouldn't have got him another bike." Jaemin's eyes widen as he bites on a piece of bread. "Your eyeball will fall out of the socket, Jaemin-ah," his nana teased, forcing him to blink.
Jaemin's father knew how much Jaemin preferred riding a bike than driving a car, and how much he loved the rush of adrenaline. Jaemin held out his hand, asking the keys. "All right, I'm as handsome as you," he stated bluntly.
His father grinned before handing him the keys. Jaemin stood up with a cheeky grin once getting the keys to himself. "But mummy is more beautiful like me," he added, raising his brows and causing his mother and grandmother to burst out laughing.
"Na Jaemin!"
Jaemin chuckled as he skipped to the front door, which he opened to see his new motorcycle. "Wow, a new model," he said as he gazed at the newest motorcycle on the market.
With a huge smile on his lips, he turned his head back in and screamed, "Thank Mr. Na!". "You're welcome, Mr. Na," his father answered. Jaemin jumped on his bike, revved it up, and set off on his way to his new school.
Jeonju High -
When Jaemin withdrew his helmet, he felt the gazes on him. He shrugged it off, assuming that was typical for a new student like him. He looks around the parking area, noting another motorcycle parked a few spaces away.
"He must be another CEO son like Hyun,"
"Maybe, look at his bike tho,"Jaemin's brows pinched in stress. "I'm not sure if you call it whispering or what, but I could actually hear you," he stated as he turned to face the two girls who, strangely look familiar to him. The two girls' eyes widen as they fled from him.
A gasp came out of his lips as he looked down at his watch. He leapt off his bike and ran towards the school grounds, eyes searching for a large tree, as the girl described.
"Aisshh, trees are everywhere," he grumbled as he ran about looking for the mentioned tree. Jaemin's face lights up as he noticed a small girl dressed in a pale pink cardigan that cover her school uniform standing under a tree near the outdoor cafeteria.
"That has to be her," he said with a little smile as he approached the girl. Jaemin's pace slowed as they got closer, and he could feel his heart pounding against his chest at the sight of the familiar face.
As the wind blew about them, a lovely peach perfume filled his nose. They were exactly five feet apart. "Lee Yujin?" he gasps, surprised that the name came out so easily.
From her side profile, he could see her eyes widen before her head swung towards him. Jaemin could feel the world slowing. His gaze was drawn to her lovely brown eyes, caramel brown hair pulled back into a ponytail, cute button nose, and luscious pink lips.
His smile faded as he looked at her tag, which plainly said 'Lee Yujin,' and he could hear his blood flow through his ears. "Lee Yujin," he spoke again. "How did you-" before she could finish her sentence, her head smashed against his firm chest, surprising her.
Yujin's eyes widen slightly, pushing Jaemin away from her. "What are you doing?" she asked, her eyes wavering as she locked them on him.
"You are real?"
She was taken aback by his sudden question. "What?" she asked, confused. Jaemin ran his hand through his hair, attempting to grasp all that was going on in his head. "Could it be possible that I'm dreaming right now? But fck, you can see me.
He mumbled something to himself that Yujin clearly overheard. Yujin was concerned when he noticed him fidgeting. "Jaemin," she said. But there he is, babbling to himself about some dream, refusing to even look at her.
"Jaemin!!" she shouted hard enough for him to come out. Jaemin's head snapped in her direction. "You're not dreaming, here look," she said as she approached him, raising her hand to his arm, where she pinched him, catching him off surprise.
"Argh," Jaemin muttered, stroking the tight area on his arm. Yujin laughed and shook her head. "I'm not sure what you've been mumbling about," she replied, brushing a few strands of her hair away from her face. "We'll catch up on that later since we need to go see Mr. Qian now."
"By the way, it's nice to meet you, Jaemin," she said. Jaemin stood there watching her walked away, then stop and turn around to face him. "Are you not coming?" she asked. Jaemin hastened his pace to keep up with her to the office.
"One question," Jaemin said as he takes a step alongside her. "Do you believe dreams can come true?" he questioned, his gaze fixed on her petite frame. Yujin shrugged, her lips forming a smile.
"Anything is possible, Jaemin"
