The study room was illuminated in the early morning light. Yujin sat up from the bed, rubbing her tired eyes. She looked out the window at the pearly glow in the sky.
Her eyes widen as she realizes she is in a room that is completely different from her own. She took a glance around the room, which reminded her of a hospital room. She got out of the patient bed and walked up towards the window.
The mists and knolls, mountains and valleys are all beautifully shaded by the sun's dazzling beams. It represents the sun's journey across the sky, and it makes Yujin smile. The sound of the door opening drew her attention.
"Oh you're awake," a woman in her forties stated. Yujin came to a standstill on her feet, her gaze fixed on the person she recognizes. "Good morning, Mrs. Na," she said politely. The woman flashed her a lovely smile the one she adored.
"Jaemin brought you here last night because you had an anxiety attack," she stated. Yujin forced down the lump in her throat. "I'm very sorry for the inconvenience," she said, bowing a few times to the lady in front of her.
"No, it's all fine, sweetheart. I brought some of Jaemin's clothes for you to put on. When you're ready, come have breakfast with us "She stated it as she stacked a pair of black hoodie and pants on top of the bed.
Yujin nimbled her bottom lips and nodded as the lady left the room. Yujin changed swiftly into the clothing that had been handed to her. With a chuckle, she looked down at her petite form in the baggy trousers and hoodie.
Yujin exited the study room, reading the hallway for anyone, but it was quiet and empty. She paused, but was taken by surprise when a deep, raspy voice greeted her. "Good morning," Jaemin murmured, stretching. Yujin clutched her palm to her chest as she was surprised.
"I'm sorry. Did I scare you? "He questioned, worried. Yujin took a look at Jaemin, who was wrapped in a black tee and checkered slacks. Once again, quiet reigned between them. The uneasiness made Jaemin scratch the back of his neck.
Yujin was amused by the boy's action. "Good morning, Jaemin," she said, smiling as brightly as she could. Jaemin was taken aback when he saw a smile he hadn't seen in a long time. "You-" Jaemin was going to say something when his mother's voice resonated throughout the house, interrupting him.
"Kids, let's have breakfast,"
"Coming," Jaemin said as he took a step into the dining room, Yujin trailing behind him. "Oh good morning, Yujin," Jaemin's father said with a charming smile. "Good morning, Dr. Na," she said gently. The rest of the morning went fine, with Jaemin's grandmother cracking jokes and making Yujin feel more at ease.
Jaemin waited on his bike outside Yujin's house, looking through his social media when the sound of the front door opening drew his attention. Jaemin sat up straight, staring at Yujin, who was dressed in her school uniform and a black fitting cardigan.Yujin halted on her feet, as her eyes gazed up towards the boy infront of her house. "What are doing here?" she asked as she approached him. Jaemin hand her the helmet he have, "Let's go together, you still owe me one thing," he said. Yujin was about to say no but her hands betrayed her.
Her journey to school was exhilarating as she was clutching to Jaemin. Throughout their ride, Jaemin smiled at how her delicate little fingers were snugly wrapped around his waist. Yujin's arms were still wrapped around him even though Jaemin had parked his bike and shut the bike down.
Jaemin placed his hand on top of her and gently tapped her. He noticed how her hands finally eased around his waist as she sat up straight. Jaemin turned back to see her terrified expression, which had become a glare. "Do it again, and I'll kill you," she slapped Jaemin's shoulder. Jaemin's shoulder moved as he chuckled.
"It's not even that fast," he teased as he watched Yujin jumped off his bike, frowning. Jaemin took off her helmet, which had messed up her hair. He was mesmerized by Yujin, beneath the blue sky that complemented her pinkish-red undertone skin as she brushed and tied her hair into a ponytail.
"I'm not used to it," she muttered as she waited for him to stepped down from his bike. Jaemin ruffled his hair, "You'll get used to it," he said. "Why would I?" Yujin asked. "You'll be going to school with me every day now," he continued as he skipped towards the school building.
