The world around me was a thick fog, I couldn't see anything a few steps Infront of me. I was dodging trees just About left and right but somethings I would move to late as I ran for m life. I could hear the blood flow in my ears as my heart tried to beat its way out of my chest.
My feet were growing heavier as my lungs struggled to get enough oxygen in. I heard footsteps gaining me from behind, I tried to push myself faster, but it was no use. They were so close to me; with a deep breath I went to let out a scream.
I woke up with a gasp bolting my body into a sitting position my breaths in pants as I am rubbing my right wrist. I could still feel the hand in my hair and around my wrist. Taking a deep breath I slowly let it out and up off the mattress.
I looked down at Enzo before grabbing my clothes and heading into his room. I got dressed and looked over at the horrific clown painting someone had graffitied. I let out a huff, Enzo had been terrified of clowns since the attach a few years ago.
I grabbed the wite paint from the middle of his room and made a start in covering up the big clown and the little ones surrounding it. I have covered the littles one first and was halfway through covering the large one when there was a light knock on the door.
"Thank you, sis." Enzo said with a smile. I turned to him and nodded my head getting on with the painting. After not even a couple of minutes I stood up and handed the observant Enzo the paint brush with a smile and walked out into my room.
I noticed my brother had painted over the graffiti in my room like I did with his, with a smile I grabbed the still wet paint brush and begam painting the full room white. After the first coat I wrapped the paint brush up and looked to my door as my mother entered.
"Here you go hunny, drink and a sandwich... My it's" she paused. "Getting there. You can do better though." She walked off without another word to me, I let out a huff before eating the sandwich literally watching the paint dry.
When I was finished with the sandwich and drink, I got back up and put another coat of white on the walls. After I had completed the second coat I smiled at my work and grabbed Enzo's mattress dragging it out of my room and into his own. I looked around his room and noticed his Clown draying through the paint.
I walked out and headed downstairs; the white painting thankfully handed taken so long to do so I have more time to so this for Enzo. I routed through each box dragging it up to my room as I did till, I found the paint's I was looking for. Dragging that box from my room to Enzo's I make a star by covering the walls with Different colours.
"You didn't have to you know." I heard his voice chime as he entered. I shook my head and pointed at one of the unpainted one
"As they dry, they get more clearer." I pointed out he nodded his head and thanked me. "Can't have you sleeping in my room forever." I winked at him before carrying on with my design. I heard him chuckle behind me before we fell into a comfortable silence while I was painting, and he was building his furniture.
After a few hours I was finally completed, the room has light grey walls with strips of white for the web and various Spiders and tarantulas. I put the paint brushes down and raised my arms up stretching.
"My masterpiece has been complete!" I shouted to no one in particular, Enzo had left the room a couple of hours ago getting board of watching me paint once his furniture was up. I started moving the furniture into the places he wanted it as he waltzed into the room looking in awe
"I love it, thank you so much!" he gave me a large brotherly bear hug and helped me move the paints into my room for later use.
"Kids! Dinner!" Mother called form somewhere downstairs, we looked at each other and Enzo bolted downstairs like his life depended on it. Laughing I followed his lead at my own pace, wonder through the messy house to the sound of my mothers humming.
I walked into the dining room to see Arlo in his rocker, the twins in their highchairs. Enzo was already digging into food when I noticed Dad was not in the room.
"Where dad?" I asked looking at mom, Enzo stopped what he was doing and looked around before he too looked at mom.
"He went to go see how your sister was settling in, apparent she needed a little help." She smiled at us putting us at ease while she fed the twins, I nodded my head and started getting myself some food. "Don't worry, he will probably be back later tonight."
When we had finished with dinner and cleaned up, I headed back upstairs and looked at my own room. I grabbed the pencil and began outlining my design before painting it on the walls. Id decided to go with a island theme,
The ceiling held plain dark sky with stars and a full moon. The sky stretched around all my wall meeting the sea half wy through. The sea was one quatre wall and then the rest was a sandy beach. I made sure to plant some palm trees around to give it more of a island feel.
I said my good night to my family as they passed my bed room and headed to sleep, I had finally finished my masterpiece of a room and had just finished setting up the last Item in the room my bed when the front door opened.
I looked at the clock and noticed it was 1 in the morning and knew it must have been Dad that was home., I wiped my sweating forehead and left my room to walk downstairs to see my farther and find out about Eleanor.
I heard whispering and the door to the bottom of the stairs shut as they did so, curious I snuck down the stairs not making a sound and stood to the door listening in. I heard there terror and shaking in the voice as they spoke.
"What on earth are you talking about? I messaged her this morning Leo!" My mother said in a hushed tone as s sob left her mouth.
"I mean, that when I got there, the house looked like it had been ransacked and our daughter was no where to be found! It looked like it has been like that for a few days."
"We need to alert the police!" Moms voices grew louder.
"hush now, don't wake the kids, I have alerted them I'll be leading a search party for tomorrow but don't let the kids know. It will only panic them." I heard my mother cries as he hushed her, holding my mouth to quite my own sobs.
I snuck back upstairs but I didn't go back to my room I entered Enzo's room, I slid down the door and let out a sob startling him awake.
"Bell? What's wrong?" he got up and came to me on the floor looking at me intently as I cried. He picked me up and placed me on the bed rocking me to sooth me.
"S-she's gone." I strutted through a sob.
