The birds chirping outside the window brought me from my sleeping state, I sat up rubbing my eyes and looked around the spidery room. I was in my brother room alone, with a content sight I stood up and stretched my body out before walking out of his room.
I passed the bathroom that was opposite his room, the shower was running, and I could hear Enzo's beautiful voice belting out songs. I couldn't help the little smile that made its way to my face as I entered my own room and closed the door.
I changed out of my Pyjamas and wacked on my jumper and legging before opening the curtains and window getting rid of the rotten paint smell. As I opened the window, I looked at the woodland view when someone walking under my window caught my eye.
I rubbed my eyes to make sure I was not seeing anything when they unblurred I smiled at mystic's retreating figure, Her silver hair flowing gracefully behind her. I pushed the window farther and shouted her name, watching in amusement as she looked around her confused.
"Myst! I am up here!" I shouted louder practically dangling out the window to grab her attention, she looked up and waved back at me coming closure to the house.
"Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your Hair!" she called up to me with a laugh, I snorted at her stupidity. "Come down!" she called up again. I nodded my head to her.
"One second!" I shouted back and headed down the stairs not closing he window, I opened the front door and closed it behind me as the cold air coiled itself around my body. I ran to her as she rounded the corner and gave her a hug, she laughed hugging me back. It's nice to finally have a friend.
"How are you?" she asked, I wanted to tell her about my sister, but I had only known her a couple of days.
"I am good, how about you?" I asked her with a smile.
"I am good thank you, I was a bit sad I didn't see you yesterday though." She gave me a smile a nd quite giggle.
"Sorry, I was painting and unpacking my room yesterday and lost track of time." I said, she nodded her head in understanding and sighed.
"Oh? Sounds like fun. You look like the artsy type. I'd like to see it sometime." She winked at me making me laugh, I agreed that some point she can come see it. "So, this is the famous Moore house huh?"
She looked up at the building, I joined her in doing so and nodded my head. "Well, she needs a lot of work." I one more agreed with her, the light from the rising sun made the house look older than it was.
"I'm gland I have a friend now." Myst said out loud breaking our comfortable silence, I looked over at her and grabbed her hand making her look at me. I smiled at her, and she returned it.
"So am I." her smile brightened as she looked at me, suddenly her whole aura changed, and she turned and investigated the woods with a shocked face.
"I better get going, he gets mad when I am late home." She spoke with a whisper, I looked a the woods then back at her.
"The woods?" I questioned. She needed her head and started walking, I let go of her hands and just watched her disappear into the woods. soon a silhouette of a large human appeared in the shadows, my stomach instantly churned forcing me to cover my mouth to not be sick.
Keeping and eye on the shadow I backed up and ran into the house, making sure I locked to door behind me as I slammed it shut. Once my stomach slightly settled, I headed over to the window but didn't see the shadow there any longer.
I let out a shaky breath and slouched against the window, my stomach finally settled down when it realised. I was imagining things I thought, I headed out of the room and into the hallways. Enzo's loud stomp as he made his way own the stairs caused me to jump out of my skin.
"What the hell!" I growled looking at him, his face was unamused as he looked down at me.
"Your pale. Where have you been?" his tone suggested he was being serious with he question.
"I was just outside with a friend, A new one I made the first day here." He looked at me in a odd way as he got to the bottom of the stairs, he staid still and studied my face looking to see if I was joking.
"What's her name?" he asked looking at me in disbelief.
"Jesus Christ, is it that hard to believe I could possibly make a friend!" I heard him growl and looked at him, his face trying to id the anger. "Mystic Jones, she's an outsider."
"Lives in the woods?" I nodded my head, I looked over to him to ask him how he knew but he was already making his way up the stairs, I shrugged my shoulders I headed into the kitchen and looked at the mess for the ripped-out kitchen. After a few moments Enzo entered the kitchen and began helping me clean the kitchen.
"What had you up so early?" I stopped for a moment and looked at him, he wasn't looking back at me he was still cleaning up. I looked back at what I was doing and then spoke up.
"A nightmare." He stopped this time, and I felt his eyes on me while I was cleaning.
"Did you remember what it was this time?" I looked up at him with an eyebrow cocked, I shook my head indicating I didn't. He sighed and got back to cleaning.
"It's frustrating you know; I don't know why I can't remember these things..." I let out a sight and Enzo put his brush down finishing. He walked over a hugged me.
"It'll get better, you know it will." I nodded my head and dropped the bin bag hugging him back.
