Chapter 21

I woke up with a start, gasping for breath as I flung myself form the confidents of my warm bed and opened a window to let to cold fresh air in. I was panicking, I know I was, but I couldn't stop it. Just a nightmare... only a dream I thought to myself counting my breaths. I looked out the window to see that Mystic was running out of the woods.

Her dress was tattered covering red blotches, just as she hit the tree line she fell and something... more like someone dragged her back in. her scream echoed loudly. "No! let her go!" I shouted. No bothering with a change of clothes of a dressing gown I stormed out my room bombarding past the family members that came to check on me.

I ran out he front door and into the snow that must have fallen during the night, my chest still tight form the panic flooding my veins. "Mystic!" I screamed loudly. I could hear my family calling me, but I kept running. I was looking for her cabin. Something that indicated she wen this way. skid marks, drag marks blood anything.

"Mystic!" I yelled again; I was frantic smacking into tress running barefoot. I came to a patch of blood and fell to my knees; it was fresh and still warm against the snow. I felt the tears fill my eyes as I stared at it. What happened to you mystic? I let out a sob when suddenly arms rapped around me.

"Bella?" his voice was soft and calm, his jacket warm from his own body that had warn it. "What are you doing out here." I turned to see Jacob's face looking down at me worried, I span and hugged him ramming us both in the cold snow and sobbed. "It's okay." He soothed rubbing my back.

I must have partly fallen asleep as the next thing I knew I was being carried through the woods my families worried voices echoed through the woods worried. "Mom!" I heard Enzo call; I heard his footsteps then this scent surrounded me as he took me from Jacob.

"I found her out there alone." Jacob said as more footsteps came.

"Thank you, Jacob." My mother spoked.

"Your welcome Vee." I heard his footsteps retreat into the woods.

"You know him?" Enzo asked walking.

"Yes, he's Bella's friend." Enzo huffed pulling me to him tighter. "Let's get her inside and warmed up."

I was currently sat on the floor of my room; Enzo was not going to school today due to his injured and I was now warmed up and dressed for school. I didn't want to go either; it turns out the blood batch was from me. My sides and mars now bandage to stop the blood from leaking farther as the image of Mystic ran through my brain a million times. What happened? but I guess that was the question.

I stood up grabbing my bag and headed downstairs, I had not spoken a word since I got back. I wasn't ready to talk about what it was I saw. Heading out the front door I was surprised when I was faced with Jacob waiting at the bottom of the drive.

"Jacob, everything okay?" He looked at me and smiled.

"Yeah, let me walk you to school?" I smiled and nodded, we walked side by side. The walked was short and pleasant, we spoke about many different things but not this morning. I saw the gates of the school and Ravens pretty hair waiting for me.

"T-tank you for this morning." I said, I peeked up at him as he looked down at me.

"You're welcome." I smiled and hugged raven as we got to the gates. I gave Jacob and hug and linked arms with Raven as we headed into school. I saw many eye on myself as we walked into school.

"Do you think their dating?" someone whispered I looked at Raven who shrugged and rolled her eyes siling as we made our way over to drama sitting with the group. I said good morning to everyone, and Calypso stared at me.

"What's up?" I asked her nervous I had offended her in some way.

"You and Jacob huh?" she raised an eyebrow. I blushed and opened my mouth to say something, but she interrupted me before I could start. "No, no I dig it. I recon you two would make a lovely couple you know." I blushed farther as the teacher walked in.

He looked at our group and groaned in annoyance before starting the lesson, the rest of the day as been boring. We ate in the cafe due to the snow today and at the ned of the day we headed over to the towns café where Jacob was working. He came over during his shifted and chatted wit us looking at me multiple times.

"H-hey Bella?" he asked scratching the back of his neck. I hummed in response watching him. "Can I walk you home? My shift is almost over." I nodded my head with a smile, the next hour flew by and they group got up to leave, I said goodbye and minutes after Jacob came out with a smile.

"Shall we go?" I nodded my head and grabbed the hand he held out for me to get up. I expected him to let go but he didn't. we again walked in silence; the nerves racked my body as we did. I could feel his nerves to through the swatting of his palms. We got to the driveway of my house and I turned to face him. Out hand still connected.

"Thank you for walking me home." I smiled he nodded his head; I began to walk away when I was pulled back lightly. Hi arm wrapped around my waist as his lips connected to mine. The is was sweat and gentle, it was my first. I kissed him back before pulling away with a blush.

"S-see you tomorrow." I stuttered walking upt he drive and getting home.
