when we finally got tot he front of the house I used my key to unlock it while Enzo made Lexi giggle, I smiled before frowning when I found the door already unlocked and slightly open. I pushed the door opened entering it before I could announce my suspicions he too stepped through the door.

He took of his shoes and I followed placing them in the cupboard under the stairs. He began to take Lexi upstairs when a glass smashing froze us in place. I looked to Enzo who looked back, I placed my fingers on my lips and moved back as he slowly came back down.

"Little one," I cringed at the nickname. "I need to you be quite and stay in here okay?" she looked at us both with glassy eyes and a quivering lip. "I promise we will be back but no matter what you here don't come out till I come get you okay?" she nodded.

Enzo kissed her head and I followed before we closed the door, hiding her in there. I looked at Enzo who nodded, taking the lead he snuck tot he kitchen door and placed a hand lightly on it, only pushing it open when a muffled scream was announced to us along with another glass smash.

It was like the world moved in slow motion the door revealed my mother tied and gagged as my farther pulled the cord tightly around her neck. neither of the had spotted us yet his teeth grit and she pulled with his might against the struggling women.

"Just die you cheating whore!" he growled, he smacked her head of the side before slamming her to the floor, he straddled her body and began strangling her with is bear hands before finally my body snapped into gear.

I didn't think before I leaped and slammed my body into Leos knocking him off her and toot he ground. "I'm calling 999!" Enzo shouted. I didn't answer as I pushed my body off the ground pieced of glass sticking into my skin.

I face Leo and he too got off the ground and looked at me "ungrateful brat." she snapped. "why are you protecting her! she ripped this family apart!"

"No! there's a killer on the lose out there dad!" he laughed

"I am not your farther bitch, and that killer isn't out there. your trapped with him!" he shouted grabbing a knife from the holder and leaping at me. I manged to dodge a few time till my back made contact with the side.

"Leo stop!" my mom screamed, He huffed an miss judged the aim thrusting the knife into my side.

"fuck!" I grunted in pain and kicked him back into the table.

"bell!" Enzo took a step forwards I held my hand out.

"Take mama upstairs. take the girls up there too and stay up there!" I growled out. I kicked a chair and Leo knocking him over. "Now!" I shouted making them jump and scramble up shutting the door.

I was not a damsel in destress, I have fought like this once before and wont I'll fucking do it again. I lunched at Leo pulling the knife out and throwing it to the side. I landed on top of him and punched his face.

his hands found their way to my side and this thumb entered the stab wound making me cry in pain. he knocked me off and stabbed on my face disorientating me me before stamping on my leg breaking it. I screamed in pain as he stood up spitting on me.

"Oh honey, come take your punishment bitch!" he growled leaving the room, I moved and broke the wooden chair leg making a make shift splint. when I was done I smirked as the sirens int he distance got closure.

I moved to the hallways and smirked at him and he looked at me annoyed. "times up fucker." I growled. I lunged at him one last time as he made a break for the door my body tackling his tot he ground.

We punched, slapped and clawed at each other unt the light flashing blue finally lit up the dark room we were struggling in. I didn't stop the fighting until I was pulled of Leo and intot he air.

"Calm down little fire cracker, Marcus chuckled in my ear. we got him from here." he let go and placed me down when I stopped moving. letting out a breath I hobbled tot he Sofa.

"you should get that leg looked at." even through the flashing blue lights I saw his concern. I watched the other police officer cuff my father before taking him away, he looked back at me.

"This isn't over... Little flower." My blood ran cold as I froze there. little flower his voice mimicked in my head. Marcus wrapped my arm around his neck as he grabbed my waist.

"You can come out now!" I called when we go to the bottom of the stairs. I heard pattering of feet and Enzo ran down, he noticed my leg immediately.

"I'm going to take her tot he hospital." Marcus said.

"Okay, I'm going the kids and mom and we will meet you there. mom needs checking out too." I nodded as Enzo kissed my head running back upstairs. with the help of Marcus and anoher officer I was put the car.

"thanks Lance" Marcus said patting his back. Marcus slipped into the car and began driving away. "you okay?"

"fine... I'm sorry about Juliette." I said, he sighed

"thank you, She was the last member of my family."

"I'm here for you."

"lets get you healed first miss detective.... I generally think you should think about joining the academy though. Not just to be a police officer but an actual detective. " I smiled

"yeah... maybe I will" the rest of the car journey was silent as I mulled over the idea.
