POV: It's been a year since you and Hailee met and the two of you couldn't have been closer. At the beginning, you would occasionally meet up with a few friends at restaurants, your place and others. But as time went on, you both didn't need to meet up with all of them, and gradually, you both start spending time one-on-one more frequently.
You've been spending a lot of time together and a few months pass since you started catching feelings for her. Your friends found out by the way you look at her, so they decided to play Cupid. They constantly try to leave the two of you alone together, but it's nothing more than an intense conversation and of course a good time. But sadly, you don't admit anything to her because you're scared she doesn't feel the same way. And this day is no different...

(Y/N)'s POV
The day got off to a bad start as I couldn't find anything to write about for my album. A lot of the songs I've written so far have come out real nicely, but I felt I just needed one more song for the completion of the whole thing. I racked my brain all day trying to find some sort of inspiration. I listened to other artists, I read my favorite Shakespeare books, anything that could potentially help me.The sun starts to set and I still had no luck. I put my pen down and sit in my chair in defeat. Suddenly, my puppy comes in running. "Apex, hiya buba! What's goin' on?" I bend down, in a baby voice. He restlessly licks my hand as I pick him up to hold him in my arms. I love this puppy. He's my baby, I basically take him everywhere.
"What'd you need?" I ask him, scratching the back of his ear as he cuddled up to me. The second he heard me, he jumped up as he squirmed to get to the ground. I gently place him on the floor as he ran out the door of my room. I stare at the door for a few seconds before he came into the room holding a leash in his mouth. He approaches me, setting it down on the floor in front of me. "Apex, we've got work to do, buddy." I say, tilting my head as he tilted his. Upon hearing me, he starts to wag his tail, bringing the leash closer to me.
This sneaky creature. He knows I can't say no to him. I sigh, "Fine. But only a few minutes okay? Now come here!" I say as I stoop down to put the leash around his collar. I turn to my closet to find a jacket as it can be cold outside during the nights at this time of year. Autumn is definitely around the corner. I put on a grey hoodie that goes with my black sweats and I carry my phone and AirPods to listen to something while I walk. With that, I led Apex outside, closing the door behind me.
Apex calmly walks along the sidewalk, and I start walking alongside him. He's one of the chillest pups I've ever had, and I've had quite the handful of puppies as a child. I'd been walking for about 20 minutes when my phone suddenly rang. I stopped in my tracks, taking my phone out of my pocket. I look at the caller ID — Chlöe. I smile and pick up, putting the phone to my ear. "What's up, Chlöe?" I greet her.
"Nothing much. You?" she answers as I hear the distant sound of cars. "Are you going somewhere? I can hear car horns in the background." I ask her, keeping my eye on Apex as he has the tendency to randomly run away. I now take it back when I said that he's chill. "Yeah, we're on our way to your place right now." she tells me.
"'My place?!" I ask her, puzzled. But then I just remembered that we'd made plans the other day for a game night at my place. I guess I'd been so busy with song-writing that I totally forgot the whole thing. "Don't tell me you forgot! It's game night." said Chlöe, "Hailee, Taylor and I are coming over right now." she continued. "Okay, sure. I just went out for a walk. I'll be back when you guys get there. See you." I say. "See ya." says Chlöe, as I hang up the phone.
Gosh, I totally forgot about game night! I should probably order a pizza. I take out my phone and place an order. I walk Apex a few minutes more before finally making it into the house. I take off his leash and he walks into the house and onto his little couch pad. I scratch his head, looking around the living room. Looks neat. I give myself a brush on the shoulder. I've always been a neat person and I'm glad that I am.
