(Y/N)'s POV
The day started with me waking up to my crazy alarm. Yet again. I slam my hand on the clock, pressing snooze and groaning into my pillow. My puppy, Apex, rushes in to my room, licking my fingers that had been hanging from my bedside. I slightly smile and I turn to my side... only to reveal nobody there.

Right. I forgot. Hailee and I broke up. It's been a year now, and I still check to see if she's here by my side. It's what I always looked forward to. Each day, I always go to her contact number and my hand does nothing but hover itself over the call button, afraid to take a chance.

Of course, we've occasionally talked after our break up. We ended things on good terms, promising to stay best friends. We see each other often but there's always that nagging voice in my head that ends up making me want to have her the way I did before. Because of this, I've always made an effort to avoid her as much as I can. It hurts but it's the only thing I could think of doing... until I get over her.

Anytime we have a friend dinner, I always make sure to secure my seat in between Taylor and Chlöe. Much to their protest, I'd always been doing this ever since our split. They say that I should either talk to Hailee about my feelings and see where things go, or try to move on and meet someone new. I just don't wanna meet someone new. I want Hailee.

I decide to get up and start getting ready. I change into my hoodies and sweats and give Apex his breakfast. I make myself some pancakes and get some orange juice from the fridge. I suddenly hear my phone ring from my pocket. I draw it out to see who it is. It's Hailee. I can't help but smile, but quickly let it fade at the same time. I contemplate, then I let go to voicemail. I sigh as I make my way back to the table and eat my breakfast.

I then get a call from Chlöe, who I suspected was trying to get a hold of me since last night. If I'm being honest, I just wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone so I just ignored any and all calls that would come through. Apart from work, of course. I finish my meal, washing the dishes and going into my home office to start writing my next song. I'd promised fans new songs a month ago and I only need one more song to complete the album.

I sat myself down, taking out a pack of gum and inserted it into my mouth. I take out my pencil and songbook and started thinking of ideas. A few hours go by, and I still cannot think of anything. I look at my empty songbook, and I stare at it for a few minutes. I then remember something I always smile to...

*flashback dialogue*
(Y/N): Ouff!

*(Y/N) angrily covers her face with her hands*
*Hailee enters the room*

Hailee: Hey, baby! What's up?
(Y/N): Hey, babe. I'm just writing up some songs.
Hailee: How's it coming along? You've been cooped up in here all day.
(Y/N): I know. I just need one more song. It's just not coming out as great.
Hailee: I'm so sorry to hear that, baby. You need anything though.
(Y/N): Just one thing.
Hailee: Name it. What'd you need?
(Y/N): For you to be here.

*Hailee smiles running her fingers through (Y/N)'s hair*
*Hailee then straddles (Y/N)*

Hailee: Done.

*(Y/N) smiles and kisses Hailee*

Hailee: I think you could use a break, (Y/N/N)! C'mon, let's go to bed and you can write it in the morning.

*(Y/N) thinks and then nods*

Hailee: Besides, I missed you.

*(Y/N) smiles and kisses Hailee again*

*end of flashback*
