(Y/N)'s POV
I make my way through the Saturday crowd of LA. Holding on to my right arm is Hailee, the absolute love of my life. We walk with her leaning on my shoulder, Taylor and Chlöe walking not too far behind. Scores of people are situated at the mall as it's the holidays soon and everyone wanted to get the best of everything. We also had been those people.Hailee continues to lean on my shoulder, almost starting to get a bit heavy. As if she can't support herself to walk. I stop in my tracks, "You okay, Haiz?" I ask as Taylor and Chlöe catch up at the entrance of the mall. "I'm fine, baby. Why'd you ask?" she says, still holding on to me. "Well, you're kinda slumping. I just wanna make sure you're all good." I let her know. "Oh, I'm so sorry. Am I too heavy for you?" she says, now easing her weight. "No, no not at all. That's the least of my concerns. I'm here for you. What's up?" I ask her.
She then points to her head, "Migraine." she says blackly. I pout and sit her down on one of the mall seats. "Not a migraine. I'm sorry, baby. What can I get you?" I ask her, rubbing circles on her back. I gently place a hand on her head. She's burning up. "You do have a little bit of a temperature. Let me grab some medicine real quick." I let her know as I signal for Taylor and Chlöe to come over. "No, no. Don't go." she says as she digs into my neck.
I sigh, "Okay, you guys. Can you guys get some ibuprofen?" I ask them. "Why, what's going on?" asks Taylor. Chlöe then notices Hailee slumped on my shoulder, "She's got a migraine. Poor thing." she says as she crouches down to check her temperature. "She's burning up too, (Y/N/N). We'll be back in a jiffy." she says, rubbing Hailee's shoulder.
I nod at them and continue to sit with Hailee. "How're you feeling?" I ask her. She shakes her head slightly. Man, this headache is simply a bit too painful for her. I hated to see her like this. The fact that we're surrounded by a ton of people during a brink in the holidays is simply not making things easier. Taylor and Chlöe quickly emerge through the crowd with a bag of ibuprofen.
"You guys are the best!" I tell them as I take out Hailee's water bottle, telling her to draw her hand out. She complies, taking one pill in her hand. She swallows and takes a drink of water. "Thanks." she says. I bring her close to me as I kiss her head. "You'll be fine in the next thirty minutes, okay?" I tell her as she nods. But I still worry for the crowd, the noise and the sensitivity making it hard for her to get better.
"But I don't think you should go shopping right now." I tell her. "No, don't do that, (Y/N/N)! I still wanna shop with you guys." she says, clutching on to my arm. "Oh, I'm not gonna shop either. Imma go with you." I tell her. I meant it. I couldn't just shop or do anything with her in this state. "We can just go tomorrow. Holidays aren't until next week. There'll be a ton of things to get tomorrow." I tell her, helping her up.
She finds enough strength to lift her head up to talk to me, "But —" "No buts, let's get home. You should feel better first, okay baby?" I tell her, cupping her face in my hands and giving her a soft peck on her lips. She then nods and rests her head on my shoulder.
