Hailee's POV
I park my car at mine and (Y/N)'s house and place it in the garage. I see her car parked right next me, "Yes! She's here, my baby's here!" I think to myself as I do a little dance, quickly getting out of my car. I run to the front door, jamming my keys inside and making my way in. "I'm home, baby!" I cry out as I set my things down. But I get no answer, so I call out again. But I still get no answer. I think that she doesn't hear me so I decide to go upstairs, thinking that (Y/N) is in our shared bedroom.I go upstairs to find the door to the bedroom locked. Weird. I then gently knock on the door. I put my ear to the door to hear better. I then get interrupted by the door opening. "What's up, babes?" asks (Y/N) as she looks down at me. Did I mention that shes taller than me by just a few mere inches. Mere inches. I looked up at her, looking a bit taken aback. She did take a little bit of time to open the door, after all. "What took you so long?" I asked her, wrapping my arms around her neck. "Oh, nothing." she quickly dismissed the topic as she wraps her arms around my waist.
"You're smiling. What's going on?" I ask her. She's acting way too cheeky to be dubbed an innocent person. "Okay, okay. What'd you think it is?" she asks as she kisses my neck. I giggle, "Is it a dinner date and a walk in the park?!" I ask. She knows how much I love when we do those kinds of dates. "Better." she says so easily. "You seem confident." I tell her as I give her pecks all over her face. "Believe me." she tells me as she continues to kiss my neck.
"Prove it to me." I say to her as I pull away. She looks up at me, staring from top to bottom. She contemplates for a second, then goes into the room locking the door behind her. She then emerges from the bedroom, hiding her right hand behind her back. "Whatcha got there?" I ask, playfully trying to look behind. She smiles, then takes whatever she was holding behind her. Two front seat tickets to the Lakers' game. I cover my mouth with both my hands.
(Y/N)'s POV
"No! NO! No way!" Hailee exclaims in disbelief. I chuckle. "Yes ma'am!" I tell her while she makes her way up to me. "Oh my God, I thought these babies were sold out for weeks!" she said as she wrapped her arms around my neck. "You're the best!" Hailee said to me, kissing my cheek. "Now go change, we're leaving in an hour, baby." I tell her rubbing circles around her back before letting go. She nods and goes inside our bedroom to change.I looked her in the eyes. Absolutely beautiful. I can't believe she was mine. How did I get so lucky? It's a question I always ask myself. Which is why I'm asking her to marry me at the game tonight! I've already asked her parents and told her brother Griffin about it and all was set in place. Taylor and Chlöe were there to support the both of us and take pictures as well. I absolutely don't know what if do without the two.
I waited for Hailee to get changed. I assumed she might take a little longer to get ready so I go downstairs to make the call to Chlöe and Taylor to get everything ready. They both give me the virtual thumbs up and I hang up. I sit down on the couch and watch a few TikToks until Hailee makes her way down.
She makes her way down and I look up.
