The day comes to an end as the sky gets dark and the rain pours against the window. It'd truly been a glorious day today. I got so much work done, (Y/N) also had some down time so she was home when I got back. Great end to the perfect day.

I'm now seated with a box of chocolates on the sofa with dimmed lights, (Y/N) across from me reading a book.

Martini is curled up in my arms trying to get a bite of my chocolate, which I keep out of her reach. Brando, on the other hand, is tucked away in (Y/N)'s hoodie, pretending to read. In reality... we all know he's napping.

I close my box of chocolates. Even that can be pretty stuffing every once in a while. I look around the house, thinking about how spotless it is. I'm glad I don't have to get up to clean something up.

My eyes are then directed to the window, taking notice of the soft rain. I allow myself to ease into the sound of the pitter patter of the raindrops against the window.

I'm then reminded of something I'd always wanted to do with (Y/N).

"Hey, babe?" (Y/N) shifts her gaze from her book to me. "Yeah?"

"What're you doing?"

"I think... I think, I'm reading." I roll my eyes at her response.

"Again with the sarcasm." (Y/N) gives me a smug wink as she places a bookmark on her book and closes it.

"Anyway... the rain's looking beautiful."

"I know. It's great."

"I know it's kind of getting dark... but would you like to sit outside?"

"I don't see why not." I smile as I stand up to make my way to the front door. (Y/N) follows close behind me as I walk to the front porch.

"It's not as cold as I expected it to be."

"Yes, ma'am." I hum as I rest my head against my hand on the rail of the porch. Not long after, I feel a pair of hands run against my waist followed by (Y/N)'s head resting on my shoulder.

"Hey, you." I say, smiling as I feel (Y/N)'s warm breath against my neck.

"Hey you," she responds as she holds me close to her. She draws in a few deep sighs and breaths, tickling my neck with the air she lets out. I ease into her touch more and more as I take in every feature of the rain and weather.

"I've got an idea."

"Oh, boy." (Y/N) says as she rests her hand on my waist.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing, love. Nothing. Let's hear it." (Y/N) chuckles as I start to pull away to listen.

"Imma go out in the rain."

"Lead the way." I smile at her response, she knows she's not gonna talk me out of it.

I smile, running out onto the empty pavement and feel the pitter patter of the rain hitting my face and skin.

A few seconds go by and I hear a song start to play.

"Georgia..." I turn around to see (Y/N) blare 'Until I Found You'.  This was the song we'd played on our first date. Believe me, it was all magical after that.

She places her speakers on the front porch and walks out in the rain to join me. We both start to sing along to the song.

Oh, I used to say...
I would never fall in love again until I found her
I said I would never fall unless it's you I fall into
I was lost within the darkness but then I found her
I found you

(Y/N) spins me around as the rain hits harder and I hear thunderstorms. But it didn't matter. This is definitely something I'll tell my kids one day.

As the song starts to fade in the sound of the rain's gentle taps, I melt into (Y/N)'s touch. I hold her close the same way she does. I then look up to her, giving her a kiss.

"What was that for?"

"For just... putting up with my crazy ideas."

"That's something you should never thank me for, love." She says, kissing me once again. She then holds me, letting me swoon against her chest as the rain continues to pour.

I could stay like this forever.
