87 - Welcome to the Mos (1)

"O-Oh my god! Honey, am I seeing it right? Please tell me I am," Laura asked, feeling faint as she leaned against her husband watching her youngest son and Fyre walk towards them while holding hands. Not just that, her eyes were quick to notice the couple wearing rings—which looked very similar to each other and might as well be couple rings—on their ring fingers when she knew full well none of the two were fond of accessories or jewelry except maybe a watch for Tian Zi.

"You're not, Honey. Your prayers were finally heard," Chendong replied, sighing helplessly towards his wife's overreaction. At this point, it wouldn't be a surprise if the two end up dating since they've been close friends for years. Tian Zi was noticeably possessive when it came to Fyre and Fyre was noticeably indulgent of Tian Zi. They're actually basically dating without them realizing it themselves. That's why they all had expected this would happen, especially when the young Alpha contacted them days ago about an announcement he wanted to tell everybody.

Additionally, normally Tian Zi would just go on with his mother's plans when it comes to the celebration of the day of his birth but this time he told them that he had other plans for his birthday and he didn't want an unnecessary gathering where he wouldn't enjoy it anyway. From that, in addition to the said announcement, anyone could tell something was up. Chendong wasn't so sure at first but now, he was right all along! When he saw Fyre walking out of Tian Zi's room early in the morning the last time he came to visit, his suspicions were strong but he didn't want to assume and spoil his son's decisions so he waited before telling his wife to also avoid misunderstanding.

Furthermore, Fyre was sent to the hospital before for a silly reason and Tian Zi acted differently from normal. All of them already had a hunch but since a lot of things happened and there was no confirmation from the two, they didn't want to probe.

"Mother, Father, everyone... Fyre and I had decided to be together. I proposed to him earlier and he said yes," Tian Zi conveyed softly while tightly squeezing his lover's hand against him as they faced everyone's shocked expressions. There was a stubborn blush on his cheeks that caught everyone by surprise. While Daniel, Ian, Laotian, and Chendong recovered and quickly conveyed their congratulations, Laura and Hanlu were different. Both of them turned stiff and were quick to feel faint.

"I-I know I'm not worthy but please, give Zi's hand to me," Fyre suddenly blurted. Although the family had accepted him as Tian Zi's friend, he wasn't so sure about becoming the Alpha's lover and soon lifetime partner. The Mos are good people but they could also not accept him as one of them. After all, he's just someone from an ordinary background.

"Fyre, please don't say that you aren't worthy because you are," Tian Zi said with a sad frown, holding his lover's cheeks in front of everyone so lovingly. Meanwhile, witnessing such an act, Laura finally couldn't take it anymore and suddenly fainted in her husband's arms. The same with Hanlu who staggered back to the couch as if he couldn't breathe, causing a commotion.

"Oh my god! What is happening?" Daniel exclaimed in concern. For him, Laura fainting was natural since it also happened when Ian and Lancel came but Hanlu?! He wasn't so sure why the Alpha was being so dramatic when he was the couple's number one secret wingman. Among all them in the family, Hanlu was the one who kept on making chances for the two to get closer. Be it requesting a job for the two to work on, making the two sit next to each other during gatherings, or sometimes even tricking them into going to a place alone together. The Alpha really enjoyed playing a lot especially now that he couldn't with Daniel and Laotian, who had been very vigilant with his tricks this time.

In reality, Daniel was right! The only reason Hanlu was feeling faint was because he couldn't believe his stubborn little brother was finally old enough to settle down with someone. He could still remember the day when the little child kept on following him, trying to catch his attention. It was so cute and adorable that he couldn't help but spoil him every time. Despite their constant bicker and competitiveness towards each other, Hanlu was the closest to Tian Zi to the point that he could actually be his second parent. Seeing his beloved younger brother grow up so big, how can he not become so emotional? He knew it would happen eventually, especially witnessing it that time at the hospital but he was hoping that was something out of an accident and the two aren't really together yet.
