13 - In Heat

"You're alright now. Don't cry," Tian Zi cooed hoping that his words would reach the cowering Omega however he later sighed in defeat seeing that Fyre was still clinging on to him as if he too was not an Alpha and would anytime try to attack him if he lost control of himself. But of course, Fyre knew Tian Zi is also just like Jonathan but unlike Jonathan, Tian Zi had never tried to take advantage of him and instead helped him a couple of times. Although Tian Zi reacted to his heat, the young Alpha never tried to do something to him and instead helped him every time so he couldn't help but rely on him when he was in his helpless state. Because it felt like if he wasn't with Tian Zi, he would be in danger.

"Fyre, I really need to go," Tian Zi said again, making his words softer, not wanting to startle Fyre who was still trembling in fear. Fyre might have a sharp tongue but when it comes to things like this, Tian Zi still couldn't help but take care of him because no matter how much he acted tough, Fyre is still after all an Omega, a recessive Omega. Both him and Jonathan knew that that's why they instinctively let Fyre do and say what he wanted. They never took his mean words to heart and instead enjoyed the Omega's company. Additionally, Tian Zi could never leave a helpless person alone especially when his childhood friend was also involved.

Jonathan might have been what you called a casanova who easily changes his lover like dirty clothes, he is still a good man with proper morals. What he did to Fyre earlier was surely just a sudden splurge of emotion and Jonathan never really intended to take advantage of Fyre. Furthermore, he was certain that the Alpha had regretted ever pinning the Omega down and that if there was anyone to blame here, it would have been him. It was him who lost his temper and decided to ignore Fyre and Jonathan after their talk at the greenhouse. That if he just helped the Omega escape the celebration when it finished earlier in the evening, none of this would have happened.

"I'm sorry. This was all my fault... I should've been there when Mother asked you to stay," Tian Zi said, seeing no movement from Fyre, the Omega was still cowering in his arms like a scared puppy. It was almost hard to believe that this same person would always fight with him, shouting, and calling him names.

"I knew you were uncomfortable the whole day and I still left you alone. I should have been there when you needed me," Tian Zi added again. Fyre was his responsibility because he convinced the Omega to help him and now he had made him experience such a terrible event.

"The stress might have triggered your heat," Tian Zi said thinking that the reason why Fyre had an attack was because he was stressed out the whole day with all those people approaching him trying to discover what was his connection to the Mo family. He didn't know that the reason why Fyre was in heat was because of the unfortunate scene the Omega and Jonathan had witnessed in the kitchen, to which Tian Zi would later discover later on.

"I-It's okay... I-It's not your fault," Fyre finally said, drawing away from Tian Zi feeling embarrassed. Tian Zi is 2 years younger than him but despite that, he's making the Alpha take care of him who is older and should be more mature in this kind of situation. He had been in this kind of situation before, he should've handled it maturely and not rely on Tian Zi anymore.

"No, I should've been there for you. I invited you to my family, I should've taken responsibility. Instead, I escaped and left you alone," Tian Zi insisted, looking at Fyre's tear-stained face. His small and pointed button nose and cheeks were tinted red from his crying. His straight and long lashes were dampened with tears as Fyre also looked at Tian Zi before he finally decided to get off of the Alpha out of embarrassment. He didn't reply and tried to correct Tian Zi because he didn't want to say that his heat came because he was in the room when Ian Andrew and Mo Hanlu were having an intimate activity together.
