168 - A Promise Between Two Men (1)

After running the errand Hanlu asked them to do, Tian Zi and Fyre headed to the restaurant. Of course, they are both oblivious to the things that have been happening at the hospital and continue on their plan to meet with Alexander. They didn't know that at this moment, Lucien Sky had already been captured and currently being transported in one of the Mos secret residences to be locked down. Well, Tian Zi was aware that his brothers were helping him with the matter but because he refused to use Fyre as bait, he wasn't aware that they would take advantage of Ian's labor to capture the man. So even if he did get upset about using Fyre in the process, in the end, he wouldn't have anything to complain about if the target is captured already.

"Why do you think Jonathan sounded like that?" Fyre asked worriedly. He does understand Jonathan's feelings but he didn't understand why he sounded mad at Tian Zi. He even flew to the country at the last minute just to meet them.

"Well, considering the situation. He must be mad at me for putting you in danger," Tian Zi replied casually. He knew because even he was mad at himself for failing to give Fyre the assurance that the Omega could trust him enough to not put himself in harm's way.

"But it's not your fault that that happened to me... It was me who believed I could handle it when I couldn't."

"And it's not your fault either... but it is true that I didn't give you enough assurance that was why you did that. If I was competent enough, you would have trusted me with the situation," Tian Zi replied. His attention was still on the road as he drove towards their destination but he put his left hand over Fyre's to comfort him.

"Don't say that. You know that I trust you... I was just stubborn and thought I could protect you with my own strength," Fyre conveyed with a pout. They already resolved this topic. He didn't want to make this big again and the same with Tian Zi.

"Yeah, now I know but he doesn't know that..." Tian Zi responded. Of course, it didn't sit well on him that there was another Alpha that is displaying this kind of concern towards his fiancé but he does understand where Jonathan was coming from as he probably still has not moved on yet from his feelings towards the Omega.

"Let's just meet him and explain a few things, assure him that you're fine so he'll calm down, and then we go back to the hospital, okay?" Tian Zi suggested to which Fyre nodded in agreement. The same with Tian Zi, Fyre also understand that Jonathan probably still has feeling for him but truly he would have appreciated it if the Alpha didn't show it too much because in the end, even if they're friends and Remi had long passed, and even if it wasn't the Alpha's fault, it still didn't feel right to receive such affection. After all, he is his sister's past lover and that wouldn't change no matter how long time passed... the same with his feelings.

"Yeah, okay. It's been a while since we saw him so let's just catch up."

"Sounds like a plan."

Arriving at the restaurant minutes later, Tian Zi helped Fyre out of the vehicle as he offered his hand. And since they're both very hot topics since the revelation of their relationship, as soon as they entered the restaurant, all eyes were immediately directed at them as people began to whisper.

"Oh my God! Isn't that Fyre Long and Mo Tian Zi? I heard they were at the hospital because Ian Mo gave birth, how are they here?" One female customer whispered to her friend as soon as her eyes caught the couple in the reception area.

"Gosh, ENews just posted online that the couple finally revealed themselves after keeping silent for days, Mo Tian Zi even replied to some questions... look..." her friend replied before she scanned through her phone and showed it to her friend. Since it was the same outfit that they are wearing now, it was obvious that the couple came from the hospital.
