18 - Let's Play Spy (1)

HOURS passed since the two started checking the CCTV footage from 3 days ago and still, Fyre and Tian Zi couldn't find even a shadow of Jonathan that it was starting to get frustrating especially for Fyre whose anger was already almost reaching its peak each second he watched the video in front of him.

"Arg. That sneaky rat!" Fyre yelled in frustration before he paused the video he was assigned to check before he leaned to his chair's leaning board. Honestly, the main reason why he's feeling this way right now is because he couldn't accept that he actually believed the Alpha's words. He believed that even though Jonathan had a bad reputation when it comes to relationships, he couldn't deny the affection he had shown towards Remi so believed that the Alpha wouldn't hurt her. And now that this had happened, he couldn't help but blame himself for letting his guard down.

"Well, I figured he wouldn't actually check-in himself at the front desk. There's someone who will do that for them," Tian Zi commented like it was the most common thing to do even though he was the one who suggested looking at the CCTV footage. But of course, Tian Zi just said that earlier to comfort Fyre since it looks like he would explode if he further denies the Omega's claim.

"Tch. Whatever! I don't even have the strength to argue with you anymore," Fyre said in annoyance before he decided to stand from his chair and later looked around the room in curiosity. Earlier when he walked inside the room he was amazed at how many mini car collectibles Mo Tian Zi had neatly stored in glass shelves spread across the massive computer room but he didn't have the time to ask about it because he was eager to find Jonathan right away.

"Where are you going?" Seeing Fyre suddenly standing, Tian Zi halted what he was currently doing as his eyes now followed the Omega with a frown.

"Just looking around," Fyre replied nonchalantly. When Tian Zi heard him, he quickly stood and followed the Omega.

"D-Don't touch anything," Tian Zi warned nervously. It may seem childish of him but all of these collectibles are his treasures that he had been collecting even since he was an infant. Some of the items he owns are one of its kind and quite expensive. Well, money wasn't actually the issue, he just simply didn't want anything to happen to his collectibles now since he worked hard for it for as long as he could remember. He's even collecting the real thing but of course, he couldn't for many reasons.

"Yeah Yeah, geeze... I'm just going to look," Fyre replied annoyed but later he smiled mischievously.

"I didn't know the ever so mysterious Young Prince of Mo Empire had such a cute hobby," Fyre teased this time, causing the Alpha to blush a little. Of course, it is common to collect and obsess about things but he never thought Mo Tian Zi was one. For Fyre, the Young Alpha just seemed to be like the kind who wouldn't care about something too troublesome.

"C-Cute!? Are you treating me like a kid?"

"Of course not. There's no way I could treat you one when you're that big. Just that, I can see now that you're human too... all this time I thought you were something else," Fyre giggled with one of his eyebrows raised, enjoying the Young Alpha's flustered face. Surely the Alpha must have thought Fyre wouldn't use this newfound information to tease him in the future but he was wrong, Fyre wasn't that forgiving.

"No need to be ashamed. It's good that you're collecting cars, it would have been a little degrading if you were collecting pokemon monsters. That would have been considered childish. Still, I can never look at you the same way I do before," Fyre chuckled. He may sound like he was teasing the Alpha but what he said was meant for positive reasons. It's trivial but he can finally treat Tian Zi as his friend. That's probably what his earlier thumping heart meant to say as well.
