63 - Wasn't Your Fault

Shifting in his wake, Fyre slowly opened his eyes to see a white ceiling as his view. Of course, he didn't need to be a genius to know that he was in the hospital after smelling the strong scent of antiseptic which seemed to be very common in these facilities. But what he was confused about was why was he in the hospital? Yes, he was feeling sick even now after waking up from his rest that was supposed to help him feel a bit better, but there was no need for him to be sent to the hospital.

'Surely that stupid Zi was being too overprotective again. If I gave this a rest for a day or two, I would have gotten better on my own,' Fyre thought before he groaned, feeling sick to the point where he wanted to throw up. 'What's happening to my body anyway? Why am I suddenly feeling like this?' Fyre thought again, forcing his body to sit up.

"Zi~" Fyre called weakly, failing to realize that instead of Tian Zi, the whole Mo Family except the children and Tian Zi himself were in the room with him. For a moment when he saw the peering sets of eyes on him, Fyre froze before smiling awkwardly. It was then that Laura, Hanlu, and the two other Omegas came near his bed.

"Xiao Zi's not here Darling but I'm sure he'll be here soon.  Do you need something?" Laura was the first to ask, helping Fyre get up. Fyre looked around and Tian Zi was indeed not there. Suddenly he felt a little disappointed but at the same time thought that maybe the Alpha had something he needed to do. For now, he didn't want to think about it too much as he was feeling the bile coming up from his stomach to his throat.

"I-I'm throwing u--" Fyre uttered, covering his mouth. His complexion was pale and he looked sick. Laura and the rest couldn't blame Tian Zi for thinking that something must be wrong with Fyre since he does look like he was on the brink of death.

"Luu, help him to the sink," Ian quickly ordered. While Daniel didn't know how bad it felt to ingest the Morning-After pill, Ian knew exactly how it felt so he quickly pushed Hanlu who was closer and capable of carrying Fyre to the toilet room fast. The pill worked differently by person and while the experience did feel bad for Ian, Fyre's condition was a lot worse.

"Oh shoot, okay," Hanlu replied in panic and instantly followed his wife's order and lifted Fyre into his arms before rushing to the toilet room where the sink was. Although Fyre was shocked and embarrassed, he didn't have the strength to struggle, and instead, he quickly threw up as soon as he reached the sink.

"Just get it all out. Later I'm going to scold Xiao Zi for being so reckless and leaving you like this," Hanlu comforted, patting Fyre back hoping that the simple act would soothe Fyre a little. Which worked because although it was rather awkward for Fyre who wasn't really close to Mo Hanlu, he felt relieved despite not knowing what the Alpha was really talking about. He just thought that the Alpha was really just disappointed with his younger brother for leaving him in his hospital bed after admitting him.

"It's okay. Thank you so much but I'm fine," Fyre replied weakly between his pants after he finished throwing up. still feeling sick instead of feeling relieved that he had gotten all that out.

"Uhmm, by the way, why am I in the hospital?" Fyre added. Until now a little confused as to why he had to be admitted to the hospital. Meanwhile, hearing his inquiry, Hanlu smiled awkwardly before he scratched his nape, not knowing how to answer.

"Uhh, I can't really answer that without making you feel uncomfortable so you should just ask Xiao Zi later when he appears. I think he won't show himself for now as long as we're here," Hanlu replied, helping Fyre out of the toilet where the rest were waiting. Hearing this, Fyre frowned even more confused at the Alpha's reply. 'Why would I feel uncomfortable? And why was the idiot Zi hiding from his family again?' Fyre thought, trying to think of the possible reason but he quickly gave up, holding his temples feeling his migraine coming back. As much as he was curious why Mo Hanlu answered as he did, he was more confused as to why his body had become like this all of a sudden. Not to mention, his body still felt a little numb.
