149 - Mine At Last (1)

After following Lucien into his car and being brought into a place he was unfamiliar with, Fyre had been staying in a room after his talk to Maverick. He didn't know how many hours or minutes had passed since the Alpha threw away his cellphone and there was no clock in the room but he trusted that Lucien would honor his promise to not hurt Maverick. He's well aware that he shouldn't trust a criminal like him but he had no choice. Despite Lucien's savage character, he still believed that there was still some honor left in him.

"I hope you got home safely, Mave. Please let Zi know that I am fine," Fyre whispered to himself while looking at the plain view outside the thick glass window. Based on how it was already dark outside, it was probably more or less between 7-9 pm. Also considering that no one bothered to give him food yet. Well, it's not like he was going to eat anyway. He'd never eat something his enemy would give him.

"I better escape before Zi starts to become impatient," Fyre thought. He was positive that even if he told him not to worry, the Alpha would worry nonetheless. He wouldn't be surprised if Tian Zi's already devising a plan to rescue him right now but unfortunately, it would be definitely difficult to find him this time. They weren't even able to find Maverick so for sure Tian Zi would have gone insane looking for him.

Even he himself didn't know where he was. Unlike before, the place where he's been brought to was unfamiliar to him so even if he looked outside, he could only see a brick wall facing him. Back then, Lucien's room had the best view in the building and he was very familiar with the place so he thought that it would be easy to escape. Unfortunately, he did not see this coming even though it was pretty obvious that after ten years, it would be pretty reasonable for the organization to change location. Still, since Lucien didn't change his number all this time, he thought that the place was still the same. He was wrong.

"All I have to do now is to find a way to escape this shit hole," Fyre mumbled to himself. Even if the place was unfamiliar to him, that does not mean that escape was impossible. Although he already tried breaking the window and helplessly failed, he was not planning to give up just yet.

"But why is this window so fucking hard? I tried everything but it still wouldn't crack even just a little bit," Fyre complained in frustration as he looked at the thick glass. By now he already knew that it wasn't an ordinary window, it's like it was purposely put there so it won't break so easily.

'An unbreakable window and a locked door. That freaking psycho! How am I supposed to escape? Until now, no one has ever come inside this room when he put me in here,' Fyre thought in frustration. He looked around again and he did not believe this room was actually Lucien's room despite what the Alpha had said when he was locked in there. Since he and Lucien shared a lot of hobbies, he thought that his room would have more things like computers and TV but looking at it again, there was nothing in the room except a queen-sized bed and a closet.

Back then he hung around Lucien a lot because they always watched TV or played video games when they had free time. He was hoping that if he had those things, he would have done something to send his location to Tian Zi, but unfortunately, there was nothing he could use.

'Don't tell me that Psycho is really planning to imprison me here until he's satisfied?' Fyre thought in alarm. 'Fuck! I need to find a way to escape as soon as possible!' Distracted by his thoughts on how to escape, Fyre was woken up from his deep thought when he heard the doorknob unlocking. When he looked in the direction of the door, it was already open and the man he didn't want to see was there with his seemingly genuine kind smile. As soon as Fyre saw him, despite his fear, he could not help himself from frowning and glaring at the newly arrived Alpha.

"Fyre, have you rested enough?" Lucien asked sweetly before he locked the door and stepped inside approaching Fyre. Truthfully, he was so happy that finally, after so many years, Fyre is back with him but he hated that he couldn't be with him as soon as he got the Omega. Currently, the organization is in an uproar due to their boss suddenly going missing. Everyone was called for a meeting to plan out a possible rescue operation but what really caused an uproar was the fact that some members were already planning who was going to take over the organization in case the boss is dead. Of course, Lucien didn't care about such things but a lot of the members nominated him as the next boss and he couldn't just decline it.
