"Hurry up, Cris." Mom said habang pababa ako ng hagdan.I wonder what's so important at bakit kailangan naming magmadali, pupunta lang naman kami kina Tita Yvette, sa mga Dela Cruz.
I scoffed when I remember Ry, their daughter. We're of the same age at lagi kaming pinagsasama ng parents namin because they're friends, but it's not the same thing for us.
That girl is a snob.
Oh diba? Rhyme pa. Ry, mataray.
I want to laugh.
"Where's Ry?" tanong ni mommy.
"She's in her room, nilalagnat, nasobrahan yata sa kakatakbo kahapon sa park."
What? May lagnat siya?
"Oh, that's too bad." Mom answered. "By the way, I made her peanut butter cookies, 'yong favorite niya. Cris, please give it to her."
And there I saw her, nakabalot sa comforter.
I faked a cough. "Nagdala si mommy ng cookies, have some.
Tsk. "Uh, get well."
"Nabigay mo na?" mom asked and I just nodded.
We were always like that despite being always together.
I looked at her tying her shoelace. Our classmates were badmouthing her again dahil mabagal kesyo laki sa yaman at kung anu-ano pa.
They're right, Ry has a weak stamina. Mabilis mapagod at mabilis magkasakit, but she's persistent with things she like such as playing piano. I can't help but smile everytime na naaalala ko siyang tumugtog. Her improvement is really insane.
Tss.
She came inside the classroom not knowing that people were talking about her and that made me hate those people. She did nothing wrong and she doesn't deserve the hate.
She's just being herself and it's not a bad thing as long as she's not hurting others.
"She's acting so high and mighty, nakakainis na."
