Yaseer's POV

As I worked on some paper works, I heard a slight knock on my door.
It was so faint that if I wasn't an observant type of person, I wouldn't have heard it.
"Come in." I said without looking up from the papers on my desk.
I heard the door slide open and the sound of stiletto heel clicking on the tiles followed.
"Hello Sir." The feminine voice spoke softly.
WHAT?!
Why...what was she doing here?
I stared in amusement with my mouth hanging open.
"I think you'll save that look for later." She smiled slightly as she closed my mouth.
"Please Zarah,I don't want any problem. I am happily married with kids and I love my family so much. I 'm sorry we had to break up, but I'm a different person now
and us getting back together won't be posssible." I spoke to the lady who was now sitting on my desk without looking at her.
Zarah let out a wicked laugh while clapphing before pouting.
"Together? I never asked you for that, I am just here to give you some great news."
I was silent.
"Well, I wonder how Madinah went missing. Could she have been kidnapped or murdered?" Zarah gasped after uttering her last word.
At that moment, my heartbeat seized.
Did she know what happened 9 Years ago?
I still remained silent.
"I wonder how the police never found her...or maybe it is because you planned your murder so well!"Zarah started pacing around my office.
"Zarah, what nonsense are you saying?" I asked as if I knew absolutely nothing.
"Pretend all you want, it's your problem to deal with. As I was saying, You didn't stop there,You went ahead to rape my cousin!" Her pacing stopped abruptly and she shot me a killer glare.
Her Cousin?
"If you can't recall the incident, that's also your problem to deal with! I shall never forgive you Yaseer Gumell!  You treat women like they are broken toys...Why couldn't you keep your
thing to yourself, you Asshole! I am here for revenge. You deserve to be punished for making two innocent souls suffer because of your irresponsibility!"

As those words left her lips, a swords left her lips, a sweat trickled down my face.
"Zarah, back then I was foolish ...." She cut me short.
"And you still are...I don't have time for all these shit! It would do you so much good if you tell your 'beloved wife' about your dark secrets. I wonder if she's going to be victim 3."
Zarah seemed serious.
It was as though I was on a hot seat.
"And if you refuse to tell her, trust me Yaseer, Your two children will pay for the pains you caused those two ladies." Zarah threatened.
I left out a heavy sigh.
" You won't !" I had had enough.
She smirked.
I frowned.
She smiled.
I was speechless as I was immediately immersed in guilt.
"They are innocent ...don't get them involved."
I talked with confidence and tried to remain as firm as possible even though I was scared deep down in me.
She threw her head forward and laughed so hard as if I had said something funny.
"You are so funny hun, don't get me started on that."
Before leaving, she walked up to me and placed her hand on my cheek running it down to my chin.
"See you soon Sweetheart." She blew me a kiss and shut my office door.
I settled down in my chair and rested my head on the headrest.
Only if ctrl+alt+delete was actually true in reality.

Haya's POV

I was still trying to comprehend how the child my husband and I raised turned out like this.
He had everything a child would ever ask for.
Why did he result to drugs??
Did his father's death make him do what he did?
I sluggishly got off the couch with a big thud on the floor.
I rubbed my sore arm as I walked to the the kitchen to make myself a mug of coffee.
I didn't feel comfortable while I was asleep, so I thought staying awake would help-I am just saying.
I sluped on the couch which I had gotten up from seconds ago and turned on the TV.
perhaps it would help...just perhaps.
I had not mentioned anything that happened to Hauwa nor Yaseer.
Dealing with a marriage is way complicated than this matter.
As I looked at the TV screen deep in my own trance, I eventually cried myself to sleep once again.
I knew my mental health would be affected, but what could I do?
"My son does drugs...." I muttered silently in my sleep.

Zahra's POV

"Zahra, you would not believe who I met early this week. Guess." Samirah's face beamed with excitment.
I started to think.
"The police?"
"No..what will I even be doing with one?"She rolled her eyes at me."Another go."
"hmm...let's see, Your price charming?" I sounded unsure.
"You'll soon see Princess charming."Samirah replied in sacarsim.
"One of your old schoolmate?"
"Even better! I met my best friend. We lost touch once she got married."Samirah squeaked in excitement.
She stood up and went upstairs. Few seconds later, she was back with a picture frame.
"Don't you remember this picture that I showed you before? This is her!" She held out the frame in front of me as if handing me some cash.
I squinted my eyes at the lady I was staring at now.
The eyes...
The skin tone...
I must have seen her before...
but where?
I know I have seen her.
I pulled the frame backwards to get a clearer view of the lady.
"She even has kids now Zahra, Two cute babies." Samirah shone her white pair of teeth.
I shut my eyes to recall where I had seen her.
"Her name is Hauwa and I would love for the both of you to meet. She's so cool."
I immediately opened my eyes and stared at Samirah before looking at the picture AGAIN.
That name....
Hauwa...
That's when my eyes widened.
Hauwa Gumell! The wife of Samirah's rapist and Madinah"s murderer!
"What happened? Do you know her?"
I looked up at Samirah and shook my head.
"She's so beautiful."I pretended.
"Yeah, back when we were kids, I was jealous of her mesmerizing features." My poor cousin stared at the picture in awe.
Yes, when I shot Yaseer at his house, it..it was her!
I never thought Hauwa was the lady in the picture.
She was my cousin's best friend and my biggest enemy's wife!?
All the time I got her hurt beacause of her husband's actions, I never knew it was her Samirah was childhood friends with.
She can't stop me from completing my goal though.
What I am going to do, could actually save her from being that demon's next victim.
The time is now or never!

A big confused look crept on my face as I read the message.
What was happening?
I immediately left the chat and removed it from the recently opened apps before sliding the phone on the counter.
I took in deep breaths and just tried to shove the negative thoughts that were already flying through my mind.
Another beep from my phone made me grab it again.
This time, I just rolled my eyes and continued what I was doing after opening the message.
The person was probably playing a prank or texting the wrong number.
Who knows.
But I wasn't believing......
