This chapter's songs are "do I wanna know" by artic monkeys and "vertigo" by Alice Merton.

Taking a deep breath, you choose not to be intimidated by the mandalorian sitting next to you. He had no reason to harm you, as long as you minded your own business and didn't bug him. Which seemed incredibly hard to you. After all, you were practically dying of curiosity about the strange mandalorian. Was he really as strong and violent as the stories say he is? Is it true he can't take of his helmet? Speaking of helmet, what does he look like underneath it... but at the same time you couldn't blame him. You sorta wished you could cover up your face all the time too.

Out of the corner of your eye you see him tilt his head. "Do you know where I can find a Don Castler? I was told he owns this place"

Raising your brow, you look over at the mandalorian, curious why he wants to see your boss. Now that you look at him, he's much different from what you expected a mandalorian to look like. His armor was a lot shinier, and there were way more weapons than you thought possible for a single person to carry. Part of you felt a little panicked and wanted to tell him just so he would leave you alone. Still, you had guidelines to follow. You shake your head slightly,"I can't just tell anyone who waltzes in here where the boss is...surely you understand."

He stays silent for a moment, not saying a word. With each passing second you grow more anxious. You finally hear him sigh, "fine, I'll just find him myself." He gets up, pushing in his stool and heads off to look for Castler.

"No!" You shout, a little louder than you meant to, but the man turns back towards you.  He waits. Jumping up, you go to him, "If you wait here, I'll get him for you." You pause, "is that ok?"

The mandalorian nods slightly, "Go on, I'll be here."

Exhaling a breath you didn't know you were holding, you quickly rush off to your boss's office. Arriving there, you knock and walk in. He was leaning back in his chair with his feet resting on his desk. His dark hair was a tangled mess and the bags under his eyes were practically black next to his pale blue eyes. You saw an empty beer bottle laying on its side on the floor. "A-are you ok sir?" You ask, stuttering a little.

He lifts his head to finally look at you. "Yes, I'm fine."

You raise your brow, not quite believing him, he must've noticed this, because he sat up straight in his chair. "I'm just a little tired is all... I've been up all night going over an important meeting I have today. I'm just waiting for the man to show up." He paused, checking the time "however, he seems to be running late. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ramble. What did you need me for?"

"I came to tell you that there is a mandalorian here who's looking for you." Just as you finished speaking, the door to the office opened. Speak of the devil... You watch your boss shoot up to his feet as the mandalorian steps into the room.

"Who are you?" Castler demands, as he takes out a blaster. Noticing this, you suddenly wish you kept one on you. I should really get one...

The mandalorian ignored Castler's question and blaster completely. "Are you Don Castler?"

Your boss narrowed his eyes, "who are you?"

You could hear the mandalorian sigh. "I'm here on behalf of Boba Fett."

"Boba Fett? I was told he was coming personally."

"He was going to, but something came up. Something about a sick rancor.."

Castler shifted a little, you could tell he was uncomfortable. And you couldn't blame him. "Fine, I guess you will just have to do. But don't think for a second I like this Mando"

The mandalorian tilts his head in an irritated sort of way. "Makes no difference to me."he paused, thinking before he spoke, "Boba Fett has sent me here, saying you had a task you wanted him to complete for you. Seeing how he's unable to do this himself, he has sent me to do it for him."

"Yes, I want Boba, or you I guess, to take out a local gang. They have been ruining our trade networks and our 'jobs'. I have some small groups of local enforcers that will assist you and take your orders. I will take care of their pay for this mission, along with any expenses and your normal rate for jobs of this nature."Castler paused, "is this acceptable?"

"I need a partner, someone from around here who's familiar with the area and doing's but not.. controversial toward any side."

"Y/n?"

You groan inwardly, "Yes, sir. But I expect to be paid well for this."

Castler nodded, "Don't worry, you will. I don't envy you of this job." This earned a look from Mando, one that you were sure was a glare. Your boss took no notice, whether it is was a choice or not you don't know. Regardless, he continued "You have a meeting with the leader of the enforcers, he will fill you in on the specifics and any other information you may need."

The mandalorian nodded, and you said a quick "yes sir" before turning to leave. Before you could, Castler said "y/n?"

"Yes?"

"Good luck"

Imagine just being a singer and being sent to help defeat a local gang 😳, couldn't be me...
