It was now dark and you were still following the red line that were supposed to lead you to Calcifer. It was raining and you weren't in your best mood. You saw a town filled with many lights below you. It was Kirchen Bell that was under you. "We are almost there, thats Kirchen Bell below us." you told the witch who had now swept herself and Heen in her shawl. Heen peeked his head out from the shawl and sneezed. You looked at him suspiciously. "Don't try to be cute, I still dont trust you."
You had begun to feel the need of telling Howl about for growing feathers. They had spread to the back your jaw, right by your ears, and the ones in the back of your neck had gotten longer. You felt them with your hand while the other one was on the steering-wheel. The Witch of The Waste was oddly quiet, but she smiled and seemed fairly happy. You liked her better now that she had become an old, senile lady.
You flew the aircraft just above the ground of a rocky mountain and over one of the tops, you could see a little bit of the castle. You saw more and more of it as you flew closer and eventually you saw Markl standing on one of the little balconies. "Hey Y/n, over here!" he yelled while standing on the rails of the balcony. "Markl, how am I supposed to stop this?" you yelled back as you remembered that you didn't really know how to steer aircrafts. Markl didn't know either, but the castle opened it's mouth as you got closer. You braced yourself for the crash and when you were close enough, the castle opened it's mouth and swallowed the whole aircraft in one bite.
The aircraft crashed into the wall and made a huge hole in the wall. Bricks, stones and pieces of wood shot through the air and a brick landed on Calcifer. Markl ran down the stairs. "Y/n!" You stood up from behind the broken aircraft and staggered with unsteady steps over to Markl. "I'm home!" you said and fell to your knees to hug him. You wrapped your arms around him in a loving embrace. You had gotten brusises on your elbows and knees, but other then that you were fine.
"I missed you!" he said as he tightened his grip around you. "I missed you too, thanks for coming to meet us!" you answered. "Nice doggy." the witch suddenly said and Heen sneezed again. Heen still sat in The Witch of The Waste's lap and she still sat in the backseat of the aircraft.
You decided that there were no use in cleaning the mess before Howl got back home. After all, he could use his magic instead.
