Your eyes followed Howl with a desperate look until you couldn't see him anymore. Suliman's henchmen were still determined to capture either you or Howl, they had really put their minds to it. They were now slithering their way into the courtyard as one big blob with various hands and heads. It was rather gross to watch. Regardless, the look of shock and distress in your eyes became anger and determination to help Howl and not be some sort of damsel in distress.
You took a deep breath before turning to the door and running inside, closing the door behind you. A plan had formed inside of your head.

Howl was hovering over the burning city, observing at all the destruction caused by these airships with a concerned frown on his face. The wind was flowing gently in his golden hair and he knew that it was only moments before hell would break out. And he was right because he was flying straight towards a battleship with some obscure looking creatures with insect-like wings. More of Suliman's henchmen.

Suliman's henchmen were still actively trying to break into Howl's house. More and more of them were gathering outside his house and were scratching on any surface they could get their disgusting hands on. They of course tried using their method of slithering their hands through any cracks, but to no luck because of Howl's enchantment on the house.
You stood by the door to the courtyard with your hand on the doorknob. You could feel the red feathers grow slowly at the back of your neck and shoulders. The door was shaking because of the henchmen, but you were not scared anymore. You turned the doorknob from yellow to green and the shaking instantly stopped. It was darker in the mountains and it was raining. The castle was resting, facing the city. As if it watched all the terror and destruction too. You ran outside, leaving footprints in the mud. You ran all the way over to the edge of the mountaintop and leaned forward to get a better look at the city. You felt uneasy as you saw how much the battle-ships actually had destroyed. "That's our shop" you said to yourself in utter shock.
You then saw a battleship hovering over the city with many small creatures objects surrounding it. You knew that Howl was there. You gasped in horror as you saw flames exploding out of the battleship. A huge, black creature with glowing eyes was now standing on top of it. Howl. "Howl look out!" you yelled, but with no use, as you saw the battleship slowly heading towards the ground.
Markl was about to run outside with Heen beside him, but stopped by the entrance as he saw ot was raining. "Y/n! What's going on?" he yelled helplessly as the scarecrow approached him. You turned around to face him. Your determined look was now back in your eyes as you had pulled yourself together. Markl looked at you with clueless eyes, wondering what you were going to do as you ran past him and Heen. "Markl i need your help!" you yelled from inside and Markl nodded before running after you.
