"Got it!" cheered Emma as she carefully pulled out our next clue from one of the logs that we keep spiders in.
"What's it say?!" Taylor asked excitedly. Emma unfolds the crumpled paper and smoothes it across her leg. Then she held it out in front of her like she was giving a speech.
"Good job. You have located the next clue. Now, to find your next clue, Tamara and Maya must be bitten by a Phylaxinor Spider. (The spiders that give you some of your memory back.). Only Maya and Tamara have had this memory. Good luck."
"WHAT. SPIDERS." Tamara yelled.
"Uuuhhh, these ones." Kolby mumbled, tipping over one log and revealing a big neon tarantula.
"OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD NO!" Tamara screeched.
"Don't worry, Mara. You'll hardly feel it." comforted Taylor. Tamara stared at Taylor, then rolled her eyes.
"Fine."
Tamara and Maya sat up and slouched over to the logs. Emma picked up two spiders, (since she has the most luck in not getting bitten) and placed them on Maya and Tamara's arms.
"Hey, they're not so bad!" Tamara exclaimed, watching the Phylaxinor Spider on her arm.
"Aw shi-" The spider released it's fangs and sunk them into Tamara's arm. She collapsed instantly to the ground.
"Mara!" Maya yelled.
"She'll be alright, trust me." I comfort.
As Maya let out a sigh of relief, the spider bit into her arm, blood spitting out her skin. She collapsed to the ground next to Tamara. Now all we could do was wait. I sat down next to Tamara and played with her blonde hair.
"Hey, Liam! Yo mama so stupid she sits on the T.V. and watches the couch." Kolby laughed.
"Oh, yeah? Yo mama so fat that when she sleeps around the house, she sleeps AROUND the house." Liam contradicted.
"Yo mama so fat she sat on an iPhone and it turned into an iPad." Emma joked.
"Yo mama so stupid that when she had to send me a voicemail, she came to my house and yelled in my mailbox." Noah battled.
"Yo mama so stupid that she tells yo mama jokes to her kids." I add.
We all burst out laughing. And that's how the next ten minutes went by. Cracking yo mama jokes until our friends woke up.
Tamara opened up her eyes slowly and looked around as if she were lost. Then she yelled,
"What the hell! You said that wouldn't hurt!"
"I had to get you bitten somehow..." Taylor smiled.
"Holy frig, that hurt!" Maya sighed.
I jump back, startled by Maya waking up so suddenly.
"Sooo, what's the clue?" Liam asked impatiently.
Both Maya and Tamara look up at the sky.
"Oh, I think I know!" Tamara exclaimed. "My dream thingy showed the journey that I took to get to Thorun, and we have to go to this gigantic island thing called Canada. That's where Alaska is. Well, it's beside Canada. It's a part of another country thing. But first-"
"Let me take a selfie!" Liam sang. Tamara rolled her eyes and continued talking.
"We have to go to this island called Fujiko that will give us a map of the world! It will take at least a week to get there, though."
"That's exactly what I saw in my dream!" Maya cheered.
"Hashtag TWININ'!" Tamara answered.
"Oh! I know what my power is!" Maya said excitedly.
"What is it?" I ask anxiously.
Maya stands up quickly.
"Let me show you!"
Maya starts spinning super fast. As she slows down, she's no longer Maya!
"I can change my appearance!" Screeched a deep voice. In Maya's place was a tall, slim man with a handle bar mustache and black hair that was starting to grey. He had on Khakis with suspenders, and a striped sweater.
"So you're a shape shifter!"Emily cheered.
"Yep!" beamed Maya.
Maya spun around and turned into her true form.
"I discovered my power, too!" Interrupted Tamara. She stood up next to Maya.
"In my dream, I was called an Earth Bender."
Tamara faced the ocean and slashed her left hand in the air in front of herself. All of a sudden, a miniature island covered in green grass appeared!
"I think it's time we had a pic-nic!" suggested Noah.
