It had been hours since we have found Kolby, and still no sign of anyone else on this island. I had reunited with two friends in a matter of fifteen minutes! But the sun was almost gone. A matter of minutes before it will set, and nothing hopeful has happened.
" I think we should take a break and sleep until morning." Emma yawned.
" Where are we gonna sleep?" Kolby quickly asked. I spotted a small cave, just about the right size for the three of us.
" How about here?" I suggest, pointing to it.
" Thats perfect!" Emma cheered. I smirked at her joy, confused about how someone could be happy when we we lost all of our memories and are fighting to survive in the wilderness. I slouch over to the cave and sit down on a smooth rock. I glance over at Kolby, who is climbing a palm tree. I want to know what he's doing, but I decide to just let him do it, whatever it is.
" Why are you climbing that tree, Kolb?" Emma asked. Kolby looked down and replied,
" Gettin' some leaves to sleep on."
" Good idea." she assured, and started collecting leaves with him. I stare at the sunset, watching the bright orange blob disappear before my eyes. I suddenly realize something.
" What if the rest of our friends aren't even here?" I say, catching their attention.
" What do you mean?" Emma asked.
" I mean, what if our other friends are half way across the world." I look out at the ocean. The sun was gone. It was just plain darkness now. Great.
" This whole thing just sucks, doesn't it?" Kolby sulked, dropping from the tree with a bushel of palm leaves in one arm. I nod, still looking at the black sky.
" Fear not, my friends, for Taylor has arrived!" I hear a familiar voice cheer. My heart lifts from my feet to my head. I stand up and turn around in a split second to see Taylor, beautiful, as always. I smile and run over to her. We hug for a few seconds until I let go and ask,
" Have you seen anyone else?"
" Yep!"
" Where?!"
" Right behind you!" I whip my head around, getting a mouth full of sandy hair. Standing right in front of me are the rest of my friends, Emily, Noah, and Liam.
" You found them all and brought them here?" Emma asked Taylor.
" Yep!" She answered proudly. Wow. Taylor can really be a hero sometimes.
