The cave was almost to small to fit seven people, but somehow we managed. We had to put all of the leaves together and sleep side by side. I slept at the end closest to the beach and Taylor slept beside me. I was the first to wake up, like always. The sun was just rising. I decide it would probably be a good idea to wash my hair in the ocean before anyone else woke up, so I headed down to the water immediately. I swam until the water was up to my shoulders, and then let my hair soak to get all of the sand out.
After a few minutes, I came back out onto the beach again. The sun was still only half way up, but I didn't care. I put my hair into a messy braid after brushing it through with my fingers. Suddenly, my stomach started to rumble. I hadn't eaten in at least 24 hours. It would probably be a good idea to make some breakfast for everyone so we can start our journey as early as possible. I tiptoe into the woods and search for some fruit and coconuts. I travelled deep into the woods to climb trees so I wouldn't wake anyone up. A palm tree filled with coconuts soon came into view. I ran to its stump and began climbing. After a matter of two seconds, I was at the top. I stood up on the highest branch. It gave me the most perfect view of the sunrise. I sat there for a while in awe as the sun rose up in the horizon. The sunrise gave me hope. It showed me that things will get better, that life has many chapters. One bad chapter doesn't mean it's the end of the book.
