We all filed into the woods and began searching immediately. Kolby was the only one who new what these spiders look like, so we had to ask if we found the correct one at first. These critters were bitter-sweet. They were big and bright, but really good at hiding.
" Hey, Kolb! I might've found one!" Emma shouted. I followed Kolby to where Emma was standing so I could see what these spiders look like, in case Emma actually found one.
" Yep, thats one of 'em!" Kolby assured.
" Come here, guys! I've got one!" Emma beamed. Liam, Taylor, Noah, and Emily hurried as fast as they could to Emma. The spider was orange, red, black, and white. Pretty noticeable in a green forest. We all took a good look at the big creature, and then scattered around the woods again.
I was wrong. These spiders are impossible to find. I looked in every hole, every crevasse, under every leaf for even a hint of neon. But nothing. Nothing at all.
It had been only 5 minutes since the first spider was found, and Emma yelled that she had found another! How could she find them so easily?! I just sighed and went back looking for the stupid spiders.

After one hour of searching, Noah, Taylor, Emily, and I had found none. Liam found two, Kolby found five, and Emma found thirteen. She must be a spider whisperer or something! We put all of the spiders in little logs with a hole at one end so they couldn't get out. I feel the urge to put my hand in one of the logs, just so I can have a glimpse of what my life was like before I had lost it all.
