"So, our next clue to finding home is in Thorun, right? So how are we supposed to get it. I mean we don't know what the heck it looks like, and may I add that the last time one of us set foot in that ocean, psycho mermaids tried to kill us." Noah sighed.
"Well, maybe I can talk to the mermaids." I suggest. "You know, explain how we don't mean any harm and that we're looking for our home, and there is a clue somewhere here in Thorun."
"Yeah, that could work!" Liam agreed. "And kolby, Emma and Emily can be like the "back-up" with their powers." Noah added. I express my agreement with a simple nod.
It was around 12 at night, since the moon was at the middle if the sky, and only Liam, Noah, Taylor, and I were awake. As I'm eating an apple, I hear a small whimper, then a big breath, as if someone just came out of the water. I whip my head around and see Tamara sitting up and looking around! I slowly hobble over to her and whisper in a soft voice,
"Mara, it's me, Cam."
Tamara flings her head around with a scared look on her face. She stares into my eyes, blinks numerous times, then screamed,
"Camryn!"
Tamara spreads out her arms to give me a hug, but whacks Maya right in the nose during the process. Maya jerks her eyes open and covers her hand on her nose.
"Ow." she exclaimed. Tamara covered her mouth with both hands and started giggling,
"Sorry, sorry, sorry."
"It's alright." Maya muttered, still holding her nose. After a few people woke up and started hugging our new found friends, I stumbled over to the big bowl of fruit and grabbed a couple of apples. I gave Maya and Tamara a heads up, then tossed them both an apple.
When almost everyone was socializing with Maya and Tamara, I sat down beside Kolby.
"I have a question." Kolby stated.
"What is it?"
"Well, you know that letter that we all received when we first woke up?"
I nod curiously.
"On that letter, it said that you and six of your friends must find your way home." he finished.
"Yeah..." I answered, confused about what Kolby was trying to say.
"There's nine of us on this boat together, and there's only supposed to be seven. That's two too many. What d'you think is gonna happen?" Kolby explained.
