Chisana worked tirelessly in the infirmary. Her black locks were tied up into a tight bun and sweat dripped down her neck, however, this did not deter her from ensuring each patient she treated was healed to the best of her ability. From watching her work, you'd think that she was a healer all her life.

When she first arrived in the tent, she was terrified. She wanted to do a great job but had never seen an injured warrior before. Despite the healers' reassurances, she still stewed in fear, and so when the first wave of injured men came, she couldn't even lift a finger. She just watched in horror as all the men she joked with on the way here suffered with injuries varying to huge cuts to limbs almost being torn off.

It took Chisana some time to build up the courage to start treating the soldiers, but once she got into the swing of things, her fear was forgotten, and what replaced it was determination.

The girl smiled happily at a solider as she tightly wrapped his wounded leg with a stiff, white bandage. The solider winced but then returned her joyous smile. Chisana loved to see such a reaction since she could tell just how much gratitude this man was feeling. If her treating people would end up with them being happy to be alive, she'd do anything in her power to save them.

"Thank you, M-Miss Chisana. . . If it w-weren't for you, I wouldn't b-be here." Every word the man uttered was a struggle. The girl shook her head.

"You don't need to talk or thank me. I'm just doing my duty as a healer." Chisana murmured softly. She almost jumped out of her skin when a hand rested itself on her shoulder. She snapped her head around only to see Renko standing there with a stern expression on her face.

"We need to talk." Chisana raised a brow.

"Can't you see that I'm in the middle of something?" Chisana queried coldly. Ever since the argument they had, Chisana had kept her distance. Her stupid heart. . . Continued to yearn for the lord, even though the blonde clearly wasn't willing to return her feelings. What was she going to do with herself?

The solider noticed Renko standing behind Chisana. "It seems important, Miss. You should go. . . I'll be fine. . ." The man managed to wheeze out. Chisana sighed. She had been hoping that the solider would want her to stay. She could only think of one reason why Renko wanted to talk to her right now.

She sighed internally but decided to go along with Renko and see what she wanted with her. "Alright. Don't strain yourself too much, okay? I'll be back soon." With that, Chisana got up. Before she left with Renko, she informed one of the healers that she would be stepping out.

"What do you want with me?" Chisana questioned the moment they were out of the healers' tent. Renko did not reply. Instead, she grabbed a hold of her hand and pulled her over to her own tent. Chisana frowned and tried snatching her hand back.

"Renko, let go!" The girl did not obey and instead dragged her over to her tent. She only let go once they were both inside. Chisana couldn't help but feel nervous. They were alone. . . Stop racing. . . Heart. . . I hate you and Renko. Chisana had tried many ways to make her feelings just disappear. However, feelings of love didn't go away so easily.

"Please. . . Go back to the castle. It's dangerous here. The battle is only growing more fierce and the rear guard could potentially be targeted if we're not careful. I don't want you to get hurt. . ." Chisana gritted her teeth. She couldn't hold her anger in anymore. She walked over to the blonde and slapped her hard across the face. Renko's eyes widened and she stood there in disbelief as Chisana's eyes filled with tears.

"How dare you tell me that! Stop acting like you care! You don't care about me or my feelings. . ." Chisana broke down once saying that. She craved for her feelings to be returned. She hated having to pretend that what she felt didn't exist because Renko denied her own feelings.
