(M/n) couldn't help but gnaw on a hangnail as war council went on. As Nobunaga Oda's 'lover', he was forced to sit beside the black-haired warlord as he went through their business. (M/n) hated sitting before all these other warlords under Lord Nobunaga's rule.

When they first came into the audience chamber, many of them gave him curious looks but didn't question his presence. Nobunaga most likely already informed them on what (M/n) was to him.

It was hard sometimes to pretend to be Nobunaga's lover because (M/n) knew the truth. This man was manipulating him. . . He was a foul person with an even fouler personality. Who would pretend to be someone's lover and turn them against who they truly love?!

"Hideyoshi, how goes the investigation into the God of War?" Nobunaga queried as he sat comfortably on his dais. (M/n) gulped, just wishing that he could cover his ears so he didn't have to hear anything. Whenever he thought about Kenshin, he felt a pain in his heart knowing that he wasn't at his side.

He was the only one who'd never hurt him in his entire life. . . He just showed him love, though he did have some. . . Violent tendencies.

"Current reports tell us that the Pyra clan have declared war on them and as of this moment, they are preparing for it." Hideyoshi informed. Nobunaga quirked an amused brow.

"The God of War never rests, does he? I didn't expect discord to arise between those two clans, they had such close connections. . ." Nobunaga murmured. Another warlord cut into the conversation with further information.

"Supposedly Kenshin killed their leader and kidnapped the princess. This could be because his aim is to take over their land." Nobunaga let out a loud laugh and shook his head.

"Such a foolish idea to spring an attack on a clan much more powerful than them both in size and strategy. Hatred only leads to useless deaths." Nobunaga sighed. (M/n) bit onto his lower lip. So, Kenshin was already going to fight in another war?. . . You better keep yourself safe, Kenshin.

"This could be a perfect way to get rid of that hindrance of a man whilst quashing his previous allies too." One warlord muttered. That one sentence struck immense fear into (M/n). Nobunaga turned to look at one of his men.

"Elaborate." Nobunaga stated. The man quickly nodded his head as the rest of the people in the audience chamber turned their attention onto him.

"Well, Kenshin is just planning to go to war with this small clan. Therefore, they will not bring their full force with them. We can take this opportunity to strike them down by bringing much more men and launching a surprise attack on them." Nobunaga listened attentively as (M/n)'s fear only grew. Kenshin was going to get hurt! (M/n) hoped with all his might that Nobunaga disagreed with the idea. . . However, deep down, he knew Nobunaga's answer was going to be to agree. . .

"This idea most intrigues me. . . Well, I have nothing going on at the moment, so it sounds like a perfect opportunity."  (M/n) cursed under his breath. He latched onto Nobunaga's arm before the older could continue. He tried to appear worried and concerned.

"Lor- Nobunaga, you shouldn't put yourself at risk like that. You could get seriously hurt and I don't want to see that." (M/n) whined. He made a slip up and almost called the man 'lord' but just managed to avoid saying it. The warlord looked down at him and (M/n) internally groaned. Is he suspicious of me?. . . To his relief, the male just ruffled his hair.

"I have to do this, (M/n). This is the only way to achieve my goal. Kenshin is in my way and will not give up his land, so I have to take it by force. If I am able to take it, I will be one step closer to unifying the whole of Japan. You won't need to worry too much about me for I will take you with me. After all, didn't you want to exact your revenge? He hurt me." Nobunaga claimed.
