Past Troubles

Its been a few weeks since my engagement to Bruce, the ring on my finger feels so right and everything seems like a dream. I have been training in the JL for the past weeks and have gotten better at well everything I sucked at. I was a little rusty but it sure has helped. I have been a little distant with everything, work seemed like a burden lately and I was planning on returning to school for another masters degree.

- So are you leaving soon?- Bruce said as he watched me dress and he looked at his watch.

-Yea, yea im going.- I said putting on a shoe while fixing my lipstick.

-The interview is at 9, its 8:30 already. Don't be late.- he said sounding like a parent.

-Sure dad, going. Just need to find my keys.- 

-What keys? Just take any car, I have like dozens in the garage, you know this.-

-Fine, taking your Ferrari. See you.- I said kissing him on the cheek and walking out the door.

-Please don't bring it back pink- Bruce said smirking.

- I was joking come on. But if you keep hurrying me I just might.- I laughed.

I made my way to the car and started driving towards Gotham University. I was planning on getting my Masters's in AeroSpace engineering and I had an entrance interview to see if I would be selected. I was sweating, I am so nervous.

 I parked in the campus parking lot and made my way to the entrance. I was immediately greeted by some students.

-Hi welcome.-

-Hello, would you please tell me where the Dean of Engineering office is?- I said smiling.

-Sure-

I followed the young girl and she left me in a waiting area. My feet were bouncing up and down, and I was 2 seconds away from biting my nails.

-Y/N Musk please come in. He is expecting you.-

-Thank you.- I said respectfully and entered.

I took a seat infront of a huge office desk and waited for the Dean to be done with some emails on his computer.

-Hey Y/N, did not plan on ever seeing you again.-

Huh?

- Excuse me?- I said looking at the man's back as he typed.

- Sorry, it is me Edward. Surely you remember me. We dated for 4 years in college?-

Fuck. My ex. Well, he says dated but in reality, it was him cheating on me every Saturday at Pike's Frat parties.

- Hello Edward. I see you are doing well- I said trying not to break his head open. He probably got this position from his father's contacts. This dude did not study a day in his life.

- Sure. So tell me. A Bachelor's degree from MIT, a Masters from Harvard and now you want to enter our masters study in aerospace engineering. Why?- He said looking up and down from my curriculum and back at me.

-Yes, I am currently managing Musk Ent. So I just think it feels right to know a little more about aerospace and get higher education to properly be familiarized with every aspect of my company.-

-Your company? What about your Father? Didn't he run that?-

Have you been under a rock dude? 

- Well, as you would know, my father is no longer working for me, so I am the CEO and President of the company.-

- I see, who would've thought the shy bookworm would be president of such a company.-

- ha ha- I giggled sarcastically.
