We entered the Washington DC skyline. I could see the blooming Cherry Blossoms by the tidal basin and the gleaming Washington monument in the middle of the national mall.
"Almost there, see that building there behind the white house? That is the Hall of Justice. That is where the Justice League usually hangs out here on earth." Bruce said pointing in the direction of the building.
"Here on earth?" I asked confused.
" Yes, you will understand better when we get there. We have another tower in orbit with earth called the Watchtower."
"Oh very nice. Must have been your idea I'm guessing" I said trying to hide my excitement.
" Something like that." Bruce responded.
We quickly got back into incognito mode and Bruce started descent into the Hall of Justices secret landing pad on top of the building. This pad opened up and he parked the Bat Wing in a closed off hangar.
As we parked, I started looking around and saw many aircrafts, and other vehicles that were also parked in the same hangar. I could also tell that I was in for technological amusement since the building was almost 99% automated and had so much technology and other interesting looking devices.
"Follow me, and keep close. Don't want you getting lost. You will also have to suit up. Many young superheroes in training gather here and not everyone is to be trusted yet. Remember to call each other by our aliases and please try not blowing cover." Bruce said more seriously
"Lead the way." I said following Bruce into a designated locker room for the Batman.
As we went in the room, I saw Bruce's suit hanged into a mannequin which would only appear if he entered a passcode, did a voice recognition software, and entered his thumbprint. The same went for mine.
" Try it go ahead," Bruce said.
"what do you mean? The system will recognize my voice and everything?" I looked at the closed-off wall with the Batgirl badge confused.
"I set everything up for you already, just enter your biometrics."
I went ahead and entered the passcode, obviously, it was the one I use on all my passwords and somehow Bruce knew what it was. I also put my thumbprint but I was still confused on the voice recognition and what to say.
"Um, hello open please?" I said almost whispering because I was embarrassed not to know what to say.
I could see a faint grin on Bruce's face. " No, No. Just say Batgirl reporting for duty."
"Batgirl reporting for duty," I said hesitating. The closed-off wall then opened revealing my suit.
"Kinda Lame." I followed up smiling at Bruce.
"You can change it later, now get ready they are expecting us."
I quickly changed in front of him obviously taking longer than what he took to change. He was in a suit in the blink of an eye.
"I'm ready," I said fixing my hair and the mask on my face.
I followed Bruce into a great hall. In the hall was the American Flag in the center of the room hanging, and on the floor was the seal of the Justice League. We were on a second floor, very illuminated by natural lighting. We approached a security checkpoint where they greeted us and let us pass immediately into an elevator. As we were going through Bruce hold me back.
"Be aware, that there might be some tourists. We are going down to the main floor, where it is open for people to visit the museum and other attractions. There is a press conference in a couple of minutes and Superman and the President thought it would be a good idea for onlookers to see that we are all present and ready for duty. It is not something we usually do. Just be calm and greet people, remember they look up to us. Also no phones or pictures are allowed so do not worry about identity, just in case use the voice modulator and your mask has a special refractor that if a picture was taken it will be immediately erased from all photographs."
