" No."

It came out sharply. It came out almost as an order for Alaina's mouth. Hearing what Din said, it made her question why he would even ask her given how dangerous his proposition was. He must of thought she would agree or expected that kind of answer with the way he placed his hands on his hips and took a deep, needed breath.

" Alaina-"

" No. No. Did I mention? No!" She exclaimed pacing the room while shaking her head.

" It's a one time thing."

" Din, you said it yourself. These people are bad and not to be trusted." She softly explained." We shouldn't take this job."

It was Din's idea to recontact his old employer to find a job that he was sure would have enough credits to last them for a long time. The job on Tatooine hadn't given them much and they needed the credits fast. Knowing this, it still wasn't enough for Alaina to agree hearing the harsh stories of who they could run across.

" We need the credits." Din reminded leaning back in the cockpit." We're running low on food, fuel, and we need as much as we can if we're going to fly around the galaxy."

Alaina shook her head," These people can't be trusted." She argued." They could easily hurt you or the child to get their way and you said you cut them off for a reason."

He shrugged his shoulders,"This isn't up for negotiation," He didn't sound angry, but he sounded sure."I just want to discuss what to do with you. Let you know our next trip."

Alaina rolled her eyes,"It seems like you've already made up your mind," She shot at him turning to the ladder and climbing down to the main hull.

Din knew he screwed up instantly. He didn't mean to sound so harsh, yet it had caused her to get upset with him and leave. Cursing to himself, he followed after her seeing she was crouched down in front of the child waving one of his little toys around as he giggled.

"Are you mad at me?"

" Why do you ask for my opinion if you're just going to do what you want anyway?" She questioned handing the toy back to the child and facing Din.

"Hey," He softened walking closer to her."I care, but I'm the bounty hunter. I'm gonna do what I think is safest. But I still care how you feel about it."

Alaina placed a loose strand of her hair out of her face and behind her ear while thinking. If she had to be honest, she would rather head back to Tatooine and find them another bounty job to avoid this next job.

" Din, I don't like it." She admitted taking a nervous deep breath." A group of untrusted people are going to be around the child. Anything can happen. But we don't have much of an option, so, I'm in."

He shook his head," You don't have to be."

" But I am." She reasoned." I trust you."

No matter how many times she said it, it still surprised him each time hearing it. Trust wasn't something he heard a lot. Being a Mandalorian, no one was meant to trust him, but she did even when they were going to do something dangerous. He blushed behind the helmet, nodding his head a couple times before his thoughts started to make sense again.
