Maybe it's 'cause I got a little bit older. Maybe it's all that I've been through. I'd like to think it's how you lean on my shoulder. And how I see myself with you.

Alaina moved her hand around the condensation that had gathered around the mirror. With the child asleep, she had slipped to take a shower and now she was grateful for it given when she was feeding him earlier, he got his dinner on her. She grabbed the small comb and started detangling her hair smelling the raspberry scent from the hair products she had used.

It was better then smelling like chicken noodle soup. Once her hair was detangled, she grabbed her stuff and left the wash room letting her hair airdry and climbed up to the cockpit seeing the child sleeping in his pod while Din flew the Razor Crest.

" Shower is all yours." She announced taking a seat." Although, I should warn you, I probably used all the hot water."

He chuckled," You always do."

" I can't help it. I'm not use to a hot shower." She defended moving the child's pod closer to her and re-tucking him in.

Din placed the Razor Crest on autopilot and turned in his seat looking to her. Admitting to himself a week ago he had feelings for Alaina, every little moment they shared caused him to tense up, unsure of what to say or do. She would place her hand on his shoulder and it would cause his whole face to turn beet red or passing by each other with lingering touches would cause his whole body to grow with goosebumps. She would simply look at him and he would forget what he was about to say.

He cleared his voice," You... you, uh, you look—decent."

The one thing about Din, was he knew nothing about flirting. He had in mind all of the wonderful names and compliments he could give her, but when the words came out his mouth, they weren't the best. Alaina turned to him, a frown on her face at his words growing a bit self-conscious.

" What?"

Din froze," Decent." He repeated.

" Decent?" Alaina questioned sitting up in her seat." I look...Decent?"

" Yes?"

She nodded her head knowing she might have not looked her best right now, but decent just seemed more like an insult at the moment than any other word he could of used. She placed with the ends of her hair nervously.

" Do I not look decent other times?"

Her tone was clear as day and Din instantly knew that his attempt at flirting had backfired. The way he had spoke was like she didn't look beautiful like she did everyday.

" No!" He defended growing nervous." No, no, um...you do um..."

A message coming in started to beep loudly luckily distracting the two of them away from their awkward conversation.

" Hold that thought." Din replied allowing the transmission to come through.

" My friend, if you are receiving this transmission, that means you are alive." Greef Karga spoke causing the two of them to listen intently." You might be surprised to hear this, but I am alive too. I guess we can call it even. A lot has happened since we last saw each other. The man who hired you is still here, and his ranks of ex-Imperial guards have grown. They have imposed despotic rule over my city, which has impeded the livelihood of the Guild. We consider him an enemy, but we cannot get close enough to take him out."

Alaina moved from her seat to get a closer look at the transmission. Her arm brushing against Din's lightly distracted him before he shook it off to focus.
