There was silence in the house as Aliya tiptoed towards the bathroom to prepare herself for her sunrise watch. She woke up thirty minutes in advance than she wanted to and after all the failed effort she did in going back to sleep, she gave up. She can hear the boys snoring as they slumbered. She didn't know what time they had gone to bed because she had waken up a couple of times and heard their voices at the other side of the living room as all six of them drank together. The women all had decided to retire early since it's been a long day after all.
She was disturbed by the boys sometime during her sleep. She opened her eyes to find them looking down at her with amusement. They were already tipsy and were making fun of the fact that she's sleeping so quietly now.
"What the heck?" She told them as she pulled the blanket over her head.
"We were worried that you might not be breathing anymore because you're so quiet." Taehyung, who was sitting next to her, said as he pulled the blanket off her. "Seems like the surgery worked."
"Why didn't your surgery work?" Hoseok asked Namjoon who pushed the other guy playfully.
"I had surgery in my sinus." He said.
"Maybe you should get your tonsils removed too." Jimin joked and that started an unending bickering.
Taehyung laughed at Aliya's frustrated look for having to get wakened up. "Hey, I know you're doing your sunrise watching tomorrow I'll come with you like before."
"You don't have to Tae, you have Jia to think about now." She replied.
"She knows it's our tradition." He said lying down next to her pushing her back so that he'd have space. She yelps when she starts to get squished.
"Go to your room and sleep there, we can't fit here."
"Ha, maybe you should start losing weight then." He told her.
"Are you telling me I'm fat?" She squeaked.
He turned to her with a smile. "I didn't say that, you did."
"I can smell the alcohol in your breath. Be sure to brush your teeth before you go to bed with your wife." She chided.
"She loves me just the way I am."
"Good for both of you."
"Why are you so grouchy?"
"Gee, I wonder why? Wait, I was in the middle of my sleep when I got awakened by 6 drunk guys that's why." Aliya said.
"Drunk? Who's drunk?" Jungkook asked hearing their conversation.
"Not me." Hoseok said which was followed by another and another until all of them had said it.
"Oh god, please, either drink some more so you'd all pass out and leave me alone or go to sleep." Aliya said.
Taehyung laughs as he stood up kissing her at her forehead. "We just miss bugging you like this. Go back to sleep and I'll see you tomorrow."
Aliya can't help but smile as she recalls it. She is all set and still had thirty minutes left before sunrise. The hill where they watch it is a good five to eight minute walk so it's best to leave early. The house is still quiet, no sign of Taehyung yet, it is still early so it's ok.
Fifteen minutes passed and still no sign of Taehyung. Did he forget? She wondered. I'll wait five more minutes, she told herself maybe he's just late.
Seven minutes later, still no sign of her best friend. She decided to leave. She knows her way there anyway, she can go there by herself. She stood up and grabbed the extra blanket she readied last night because the early morning air is still quite chilly. She can go by herself, she's done this a lot of times and she just had to accept the fact that times have changed and she can't expect her best friend to do things they used to do specially when he is already married.
