4. I'm Waiting...

I don't know what I am doing right now? But just the thought that she might be waiting if I don't go. I was standing at the Brandenburg Gate.

It's weird. Why? Some woman would call a guy to meet when she doesn't even know him? The world isn't that safe for her to trust. Right?

I wondered to myself. Sitting on the bench. While waiting for her. Looking here and there if I find her.

It was already past the time that one should wait for someone. It was already midnight from evening. There were still people out here. But I was tired sitting. I don't even see the point why did I came here at the first place? She is not the person I know?

Stupid of me!

I just stood and started to walk. When I saw the man in front of me-

ADAH,

"Lara?" I said running her way while she was crying on the chair of hospital, everyone surrounding her, now astounded at finding me back at the place I always said I would never ever come back to. "You? Okay?" She asked me, as she stood looking up and down at me. "I am good," I told her, looking in her eyes as she already got what I was to ask back this time. "Mom, she and dad underwent in an accident. And -" She said, as she started to laugh.

Loudly.

What the hell is going on?

Why is she laughing? Is this even a situation to laugh at?.

"Why are you laughing? Lara?" I asked her, shaking her. She stopped laughing and came closer to me, "We were pulling a prank on you with Adarsh!" She said and kept laughing. I realised that there were more people, who were involved, as they all came ahead outside. "Seriously? You think this is funny?" I shouted at her. Mom and dad coming out of the room.

I turned to see mom and dad. Tilting my head, as I eyed them. "We were tied with Lara and your boyfriend."

Boyfriend?

I turned to see Lara, "Sorry! Not my words! He himself introduced." She walked back her hand in air. "It's not at all funny!" I said to her she shaking her head. "Okay!" Dad said and walked towards me, as he patted on my head. "I am going in for surgery now.. Talk to you later." Dad went to do his job. Even though I came back after years, "Do you wanna assist us?" Mom asked me, as she too was joining dad. "Don't let all you have studied to just be in your head? Keep practicing it in a while. You have gifted hands." Mom said, trying to convince me take back on my old work.

Which I wasn't that fond of at the first place. "No mom! I am not feeling like doing anything." I said, and she nodded, walking away with dad.

They were the perfect couple. "You! Woman! You! Why did you never came back to meet us all?" My sister asked me.

"What is the point? After hours of bone breaking in flight. All I got to see was face of mom and dad. And you! I don't love you. So it doesn't matter if I see you or not." I just shrugged. And turned to see the guy responsible for everything that happened standing right behind me.

" Hey! "He said, with an apologetic smile."Why did you lie to me?" I asked him while Lara, just started to walk away on his look. And he approached close to me. "Because you were going to escape me. Again. So I thought if you really wanna run away. Let's come back where we are supposed to be." He said, as he approached more close. Right in front of my face, as he bent at my level, his hands in his pocket. "Never! Ever, try to escape me Missy you won't like the result. Okay? I will find you even in the depth of sea." He gritted. And stood up again. While I gulped down.

He with his plays. I can't stand this, at all. I want to escape him but now he is getting involved with my family. Just making it harder for me to push off him..

I just, took step backs from him. While he stared at me, "I saw what was going on with the cameraman. You shouldn't have done something like that Adah, you made a mistake." He again threatened me with his fiery eyes, while I was just standing still little worried.

I don't know, "I made a mistake? Really? Having a life off my own, apart from my work is wrong? You were my duty Mr. Adarsh Raichand. Just a job for me? And just the way you hate your boss at work! I hate you." I still pulled up my I don't care about your anger face. While his already fiery eyes turned in more anger. As from his fist I see him holding back on everything I say. While he turned his head looking at the nurse in the corner ordering the medicines. And back to me, taking my hand, starting to pull me out and when we were off the door. He jerked me on the roadway. Since it was late, it was empty.

"I was a duty? For you?" He asked, and chuckled hysterically. "Get your head straight Ms. Dhar. If I really come up at doing what I should do. Right now. All the respect I bare for the fact that you are women will sink like the Titanic. And there will not be even Rose alive." He threatened me again

While he recieved a call,"Good..." was all he replied with.
