Demons broke the barrier as they rushed in through, invading the human realm. Xiu qiangshu tried all they could to prevent them from invading but they were only two cultivators against thousands of demons. Xiu qiangshu and Yun lixin sent their fireworks of their sects to let other sects know they were in trouble and needed help.

Screams and yelling were heard as a sudden fire erupted in the forest of human realm. Mortals were running here and there as they tried decreasing the fire, some quickly ran away far from the fire. Still immortals haven't come to help Yun lixin and Xiu qiangshu.

Xiu qiangshu for some reason wanted to give Yun lixin something even though he knew this wasn't the right time. But Yun lixin had also given him a gift, and Xiu qiangshu haven't prepared anything for Yun lixin so he felt guilty. Xiu qiangshu's gaze went on his beauitful silver ring, which had a dragon imprinted on it. The dragon had blue glowing eye, with very powerful spiritual power. He decided to give it to Yun lixin, perhaps this artifact would be a good gift for Yun lixin. Next time, once this war was over, he will give him something more valuable.

He removed his ring and offered it to Yun lixin who had stopped fighting and froze. "You're giving this to me?" Xiu qiangshu nodded, he just didn't know what to say, he felt bad for giving him a used object. But for some reason this object was more valuable than anything else for Yun lixin, his expression said it all. Xiu qiangshu gave a slight smile as he saw Yun lixin still gazing at the ring.

"Do you not like it? I will give you something else then-"

"No i love it! Thank you shizun! I shall take this responsibility and shall protect you for the rest of your life!" Yun lixin clutched the ring tightly with determination.

Xiu qiangshu blinked at him in confusion as he slowly nodded and procedeed to fight with the demons.

Yun lixin slid the ring on his index finger. 'Shizun has trusted me with his life, i shall not let him down.' He smiled brightly.

Poor Xiu qiangshu didn't know how valuable this ring was. This ring was only given to those they trusted them with their life, given to whom they loved. It also meant that they already devoted their life to them and would protect them for their rest of their life and love them through many lifetimes. This ring could be chosen by any immortal if they want to, but most didn't since it required for them to give a part of their soul in that ring and also half of their spiritual core, which most people didn't want to since they didn't want to lose half of their soul and core to someone else. But the orignal Xiu qiangshu had bought it for some reason, but Xiu qiangshu of now didn't know that.

Yun lixin's small smile didn't left his lips as he fought furiously with the demons, soon there was a huge crowd of immortals in the air on their swords as they fought against the demons.

Beauitful pink petals grew on the cherry blossom tree slowly. A rare sight, yet No one noticed it other than Yun lixin, he was confused as to why it had grown, 'Was it because Xiu qiangshu was his soulmate or was it because the demons and humans coexisted?' But which made more sense, or which Yun lixin wanted to believe was that, Xiu qiangshu loved him back and was truely his soulmate. Yun lixin had a soft smile Upon his lips.

As Yun lixin was fighting, his sword clashing in others flesh, he heard a demon say, "unbelievable, he is killing his own kind, his own people." Yun lixin glanced at him, only to realize the demon meant Yun lixin. He was puzzled.

He felt a kind of deja vu. His eyes went wide as he saw the giant demon rushing towards him, he was the general of the demon army. He looked exactly as the demon in his dream. He froze, the world around him slowed. He couldn't move, too shocked to do anything.
