Chapter 22

Yun lixin fought with the spirits, as he teleported them to hell using teleportation talisman. When Yun Lixin fought with the spirits, he thought about his shizun, Xiu Qiangshu. He felt guilty about what he had done to his shizun..but he had to, it was necessary, or else his shizun would have found out his secret.

Suddenly, Yun lixin saw a silhouette of a person, his robes fluttered in the wind as he landed on the roof behind Yun Lixin. 

Yun lixin swiftly turned around, only to find Xiu Qiangshu in front of him, both face to face. They both stood underneath the bright huge moons. Yun lixin gulped as he saw the cold piercing eyes of Xiu Qiangshu. But..Yun Lixin was wearing a mask so he wouldn't know it was him right? But how on earth did Xiu QiangShu even wake up? He was supposed to sleep until the morning. 

Yun lixin greeted Xiu Qiangshu silently before proceeding to do his work. 

Xiu Qiangshu folded his arms behind him."What are you doing here, Yun Lixin?" 

Yun lixin froze, stunned as he slowly turned around. He still kept his mouth shut and acted like he was confused. 

"How dare you try to mix something in the wine and give it to me, your shizun? What were you trying to do, Yun lixin?" Xiu Qiangshu asked, in a cold voice, though from inside Xiu Qiangshu felt a bit sad and betrayed. 

"How did you wake up? And how did you figure out it's me?" Yun Lixin finally spoke. 

"I have my ways. Just tell me your intention." 

Xiu Qiangshu actually didn't trust Yun Lixin after having that one nightmare. And also, Yun lixin acted weird when he gave the wine to Xiu Qiangshu, so Xiu Qiangshu just played along. And he acted pretty well that Yun lixin believed, he was a little proud of himself for his acting skills. He became a professional by now, thanks to the transmigration.

 "I'm sorry." Was all Yun Lixin said, looking away. 

"Hm, Why are you wearing a mask though?" Xiu Qiangshu asked, he squinted his eyes, as if remembering something. Yun lixin panicked and turned to the other direction, his back facing Xiu Qiangshu. 

Xiu Qiangshu slowly walked over towards Yun lixin. "You..you were the one who caused the earthquake at the palace a few days ago right? And also at the New year's eve..it was you who i bumped into right?" Xiu Qiangshu's eyes faintly went wide at the realization. 

As Xiu Qiangshu was about to keep his hand on Yun Lixin's shoulder, Yun lixin turned around as he slashed the sword in front of him. The force of the sword was so strong that the wind blew heavily, messing up everything around it except for Xiu Qiangshu. Xiu Qiangshu jumped a distance away in alert. 

"You want to fight huh?" Xiu Qiangshu responded, taking out his sword, though he didn't use his Qi (Spiritual energy) this time and fought with Yun lixin. Their moves swift and remarkable, their swords colliding into each other, sparks coming off their swords. It was a tie in the end. No one really one, but Yun Lixin was the first to give up. 

"You fought really well, Yun lixin." Xiu Qiangshu smiled at Yun lixin, complimenting him. 

Yun lixin became flustered,"Stop lying. You're way better than me..if it weren't for your core or mercy, i would have been dead long ago." Yun lixin chuckled. Xiu QingShu laughed a little. 

"But..you still haven't answered my question." Xiu Qiangshu walked closer to Yun Lixin. Yun Lixin raised his eyebrows, confused as to what his question was.

"This mask.." Xiu Qiangshu raised his hand bringing it closer to Yun lixin's face, Xiu Qiangshu didn't realize how close his face was to Yun lixin. 

Yun lixin held his breath, his heart throbbing, for two reasons, one,  Xiu Qiangshu standing close to him and second, the mask. Yun lixin walked backwards, trying to distance himself from Xiu Qiangshu only for him to slip off the edge of the roof.
