Chapter 35: Shizun, I get jealous when anyone's flirting with you.

{A/n: Watch out, there are some inappropriate scenes in the part two of this chapter, but don't worry I'll warn you before the scene begins! Enjoy!}

Lao Chen dropped them on the side of the road, where many stalls stood.

"I'll take my leave. Just call me if you need help with anything." Lao Chen gave a thumbs up, smiling. He then pulled the leash on the horses and disappeared into the distance.

Xiu Qiangshu looked around and then at Yun Lixin.

"We should go to an inn. We need to discuss a plan."

"I saw an inn while we were traveling. It is right around that corner." Yun Lixin pointed

Xiu Qiangshu and the others arrived at the inn Yun Lixin had recommended. When they arrived, it was a two-story building. Upstairs had rooms, and downstairs had a restaurant for travelers or other folks to eat at. It was bustling with spirits, mostly, and a few demons.

The innkeeper brought them to a table, and Xiu Qiangshu and the others took a seat except for Yun Lixin.

"I will reserve rooms for us." He responded.

"Book only one room. We should stay together in this foreign place." Xiu Qiangshu replied to Yun Lixin.

Yun Lixin pursed his lips. "As you say, shizun." He said this, sulking as he walked away.

Their table was in the corner with a curtain to give the customers more privacy. There were cushions on the floor for their comfort, with a table in the center.

Shuchang and Qianfan watched Yun Lixin disappear behind the crowds of people. They looked at each other and nodded before looking at Xiu Qiangshu.

Xiu Qiangshu raised his eyebrows, confused by Shuchang and Qianfan's strange behavior.

Shuchang pulled a small bottle with some kind of pink liquid inside from his sleeve and handed it to Xiu Qiangshu.

Xiu Qiangshu hesitantly took the bottle of pink liquid.

"What's this?" He asked.

"It's a truth potion.' Shuchang answered, "I have been noticing Yun Lixin acting weird, which has only proved my assumptions that he is the demon king. With this potion, Yun Lixin will reveal his true self to us." Shuchang explained.

"But he isn't the demon king." Xiu Qiangshu frowned.

"Shizun, please be calm! This potion will prove whether he is the demon king or not. Why don't we check it out? We will stay in a room together and see how Yun Lixin responds to our questions." Shuchang folded his arms across his chest.

This is bad if they stay in one room; they will surely know that Yun Lixin is a demon! Xiu Qiangshu thought

"That shouldn't be necessary; I think I can handle it myself."

"But–" Shuchang seemed against Xiu Qiangshu's reply. Qianfan placed his hand over Shuchang's, which caught Shuchang off guard.

"Shizun is right. Yun Lixin trusts Shizun more than us. I think Shizun can handle him and get the truth out of Yun Lixin himself." Qianfan glanced at Shuchang and then back at Xiu Qiangchu.

"I will inform you both tomorrow morning." Xiu Qiangshu said A hint of uncertainty in his voice. He hoped Yun Lixin wasn't the demon king, as it would only make things worse for both of them. He clenched the bottle of pink liquid.

"I booked two rooms." Yun Lixin suddenly spoke as he sat beside Xiu Qiangshu and closed the curtains. Xiu Qiangshu and the others were startled by Yun Lixin, as they didn't expect him to be there.
