"There you are, I searched for you all over the castle." Katya said once she found Trixie in a corner deep within the Royal Library.

"My apologies, I just needed a moment alone with my thoughts." The young Princess replied.

"Well, you are wanted in your room, they need to dress you for the party. It is somewhat important you know, since it is your birthday celebration." The other woman joked, but her voice soon turned serious as she viewed the expression on Trixie's face. "What's the matter?"

"He will be here soon, the Prince of Forquesse, and I cannot help but feel like there is danger coming our way. His people are our enemies, the people who swore a war on us all. So how are we supposed to welcome him in with open arms?"

"We just have to do our best to act diplomatic and hopeful that there can be peace, without ignoring the possibility of him coming here to exploit our weaknesses." Katya replied.

"I suppose you are right... I just worry, especially about your secret." Trixie said.

"It will be alright, we will be careful and present ourselves as a very strong couple, and by doing so we will give him no cause for suspicion. Okay?"

"Alright." The princess responded as she started to get up from her seat.

"Wait, stay seated for a moment longer." Katya suddenly said, picking up a pencil and a sheet of paper from a table nearby.

"What are you doing?" Trixie asked with a sweet giggle.

"Drawing you."

"So suddenly? How come?"

"Because in no more than an hour or so we will have to be on guard and act out our parts perfectly, but in here, right now, we can just be Trixie and Katya. I can be myself and I can capture my fiance's exquisite beauty and have an unofficial portrait of you which no one else in the world will ever see." Katya replied as she skillfully sketched the other girl.

"I forgot how much you loved to draw. I remember it was the only time they could get you to sit still when we were little." Trixie said, her mind filling with memories of the Resvyan's teachers and governesses running after her as she ran towards another wild adventure.

"It was the one thing I kept doing after everything happened. I had to spend so much time on learning the skills of a man, and truthfully I did enjoy them more than I ever did learning skills like sewing or music. But by drawing I felt like I could hold onto a part of my femininity and still be disguised. No one questioned that I spent time drawing, and most would never see what I was sketching. And well, the times they did and I was drawing women, people only found my act to be more convincing."

"I can understand why you kept doing it. But I hope you know that I am now expect this drawing to be flawless. If you have had time to practice sketching on other women, then you should be more than capable of capturing my image well." Trixie joked.

"Do I detect a tinge of jealousy Princess Beatrice?"

"Not in the slightest, Your Highness. I am simply saying I hope you have trained your skills enough to draw me accurately. I would not enjoy it much if my only unofficial portrait portrays me horrendously. What if someone finds it in the future and believes that to be my true image?" The Princess said in mock horror.

"I shall make sure the history books will not believe you to be a horrendous beast, but I must say I question if I can truly capture your beauty. You see, I believe your features to be far too lovely and enchanting to be imitated." Katya replied.

"Oh you are a flirt, Your Highness."

"Yes, but only with you." The Resvyan girl said, leaning in for a sweet kiss.

They remained there until the drawing was finished, Trixie admitting when it was done that it was a beautiful piece of art, before they headed off to their bed chambers to get ready for the evening. Nerves filled them both as they got dressed in their finest garments, knowing this night had to go well for the safety of their kingdoms.
