Yo-
Writing production is going better--
Expect higher chances for updates on tuesdays and thursdays bc I have study hall that day so I tend to write this on those days-Roman perked up, seeing a few figures appear at the gateway.
"Hey, Emo, they're here," He said jokingly. Virgil chuckled. He liked Virgil's laughs, they always sounded sort of light and cheery.
"Then we better go let 'em in." Virgil said, standing up.
The two made their way to the gates, mostly silent, but not in the awkward way it'd been before.
Patton, Logan, Remus, and Janus all showed up. Roman was overjoyed, the fact that he knew this many people by now surprised him.
Now that he was actually thinking it, it sounded a little sad-. He looked back up to his friends and his brother, who rushed forward, hugging him and squeezing tight."Brother Bear!" Remus squealed, stepping back. "I've missed you." Janus ushered Remus away, mumbling 'Remus, don't suffocate him'.
Patton was the next to walk up to Roman.
"Hey, kiddo," He was holding a plate. Roman must've stared at it for a second too long because Patton clarified, "I brought some cookies." Roman smiled slightly at Patton, who grinned back.
"Okay, Princey, let's go," Virgil piped up. "It's getting windy, I don't want Logan to get upset about his hair getting messed up again-."
"What?-" Roman began, he heard Patton snicker at Virgil's remark in the background as the six of them made their way inside.
When they'd gone inside, Patton did the same Virgil had done previously, gaping silently at the house. Logan didn't seem too in awe, Remus cringed at the fact he was in his old home, and Janus was fixated on a random plant on a shelf. (A snake plant)
Patton quietly set hiss cookie plate on the counter.
"Do you have movies?" Patton asked, adjusting his glasses.
"I have a few Disney movies-," Roman said softly, pointing to the shelf where they were.
Patton smiled.
"Can we watch one?" Roman nodded and Patton cheered softly, pulling Logan by the arm to help him pick something.
"Dude, you look terrified-," Virgil's voice said with a chuckle, Roman giggled and stammered a response.
"Well- I just haven't had anyone over in a long time," Virgil shrugged, Remus skipped over.
"Yeah, a long time sounds tame, Roman-noodles," Remus chimed, picking something out of his hair and flicking it away. "Try eight years, it's more realistic, don't lie to your boyf-" Janus hit Remus over the head.
"You have no manners or filter-" Janus chuckled, pulling Remus back and leaning in to a very confused Virgil and an even more confused Roman. "Sorry, continue your conversation." He then walked away, dragging Remus behind him.
Roman and Virgil remained silent before bursting into laughter.
"Man, Princey, you've got a weird brother-" Virgil chuckled. Roman laughed a bit.
"Well, I'm not much more normal myself." They both continued the conversation until Patton and Logan had finally picked something out--they ended up picking Mulan.
Roman perched in the corner of the couch, Remus almost sat by him, but ended up sitting by Janus instead, his considered spot filled by Virgil because Patton and Logan stole the middle of the couch.
By the time the movie was over, all of Patton's cookies were gone and half of the group had fallen asleep.
The only ones awake were now Logan--who was reading now after covering Patton with a blanket and sitting in a chair to read, Janus, who was now on the floor because Remus had sleep-pushed him off the couch somehow, and Virgil, who was still on the couch beside a sleeping beauty--or- Roman, yes, sleeping Roman.
Roman had done the same thing he did at Virgil's house and fell asleep leaning on the emo.
Virgil was scrolling through Pinterest while semi-deep in thought.
At some point, Patton woke up for a couple minutes, looking up at Virgil and smirking as if he'd won a bet.
"Ten bucks, Janus."
Because he had.
