I promise I'm actually sorry for not updating-
I ran out of motivation for a while and like completely forgot about this book.
But I came back to it recently and suddenly have the motivation to keep up with it again.

I don't think I'll be able to keep up the same fast schedule that I did before because I honestly have no clue what I was on to be able to just pop out chapters like that-
But I can promise I'll be working on the story again and it'll (hopefully) be as good as it was when it started.

Also, holy shizzle, thank you for the 1.5k reads, that's absolutely insane.
Like woah, that's a lot--

Yeah okay bye---

Roman slowly woke to a persistent prodding at his shoulder, he slowly opened his eyes, trying to remember events from the night before as he met eyes with Remus.

"Finally," Remus stood back, crossing his arms. "You took forever  to get up."

"I-" Roman stammered.

"Give him a break, Remus-," Virgil chuckled from beside Roman.
Very beside Roman. "He's tired. Let him finish his beauty sleep."

Roman quickly straightened himself, clearing his throat.

"Sorry, sorry- uh- Virge--," Roman stammered giggling nervously. Why nervously? "I didn't intend to-"

"It's fine, Princey." Virgil chuckled again. Roman subconsciously smiled at his friend's laughter.

"Hey, Roman," Patton exclaimed cheerfully, circling to the front of the couch. "Good morning, kiddo!"

"Good morning, Padre," Roman smiled softly. Virgil stood and stretched, cracking his back.

---

A few hours had passed and Patton and Logan left because Logan had to return library books and Patton wanted to follow.

"I'm bored," Remus huffed, laying upside down on the couch.

"Well, maybe if you sit up and let your blood flow normally you'll be able to think of something to do, Remus," Janus sighed, crossing his legs. Remus blew a raspberry. "Oh, you child."

"I'm older than you-," Remus replied. Janus shook his head with a small smile.

"We could play some kinda game?" Remus suggested, sitting up.

Roman was interested. He hadn't really played any kind of games outside of school.

"Like what?" Virgil asked, his head tilting slightly. The tilt made his jawline more pronounced and Roman glanced along it.

"Uhh," Remus glanced around and smirked a little as his eyes landed on a closet. "Oh! Seven mi- ow," Janus elbowed him in the side. "..Truth or dare?"

The group exchanged nods and Remus pulled himself around to sit up normally.

"Who's gonna start," Virgil asked. Remus flashed his hand into the air, grinning madly like a toddler that just figured out the answer to a question a teacher asked. "Oookay-."

"Virgil truth or dare," Remus tapped his hands up and down on his knees excitedly.

"Truth. I don't trust what you'd come up with otherwise."

"Pussy," Remus scoffed. He hummed, raising his hand to his chin comically in thought. Remus grinned, glancing between Roman and Virgil. "Do you have a crush, Virgieee?"

"Don't call me that."

"Answer the question."

"I mean- I think so? Maybe," Virgil shrugged, an evident blush appearing on his pale face.

Roman's heart dropped. He wasn't sure why, but the thought that Virgil had some kind of crush on someone made him sad.

He really liked Virgil--not in a weird way--he just... admired him. The thought of Virgil loving someone somewhere made Roman's stomach twist for some reason. He started thinking about Virgil.

He loved how Virgil's painted nails and pigmented knuckles made his hands sort of emphasized. They looked very steady and just kinda- and we're getting detailed and weird again. Stop that.

"Okay umm," Roman was pulled out of his train of thought by Virgil's voice. "Janus truth or dare?"

"Janus is boring to ask," Remus sighed, leaning back. "He never picks truth."

"Dare."

"Told you," Virgil rolled his eyes at Remus. His eyes hit the light at a nice angle when he did and they shined for just a moment. Roman thought it was really pretty.

"I dare you to eat Remus' fake mustache."

"WHAT?!"

"I can't do that Virgil, he'll cry-," Janus facepalmed.

"A dare's a dare, Janus."

Remus cried. He had a spare fake mustache, but he still cried. Janus comforted him while looking around the room, his eyes landed on Roman.

"Hmm, Roman, truth or dare?"

"Uh- dare?" Remus scrambled up beside Janus and whispered in his ear.

"Remus I'm not doing that-," Remus crossed his arms disappointedly and sulked. "Don't make that face at me--Roman, hold hands with Virgil for the next ten minutes."

"Kind of an odd dare," Virgil commented.

"It's the more tame version of Remus'..... suggestion."

Roman awkwardly shuffled a bit closer to Virgil and intertwined their fingers. They'd held hands before but it made him feel different this time. Like Remus and Janus understood something that he just didn't yet and that this was part of that. Roman's face and ears felt warm and when he looked from down at their connected hands to Virgil's face, he just felt even warmer. Roman took a deep breath and decided he'd try his best to ignore the odd feeling in his chest until the ten minutes passed.

Ooookay-
How's that for the first chapter back?-
It's like 60% written by me a year ago so I don't think it's all that different--

Hope it was enjoyable for any readers that came back for some reason-
see y'all hopefully soon for the next chapter byeeee
