"Is this really necessary?" Emma asked the little Matthews, who was holding a video camera. Emma turned to Eric who was trying to make himself presentable. Emma rolled her eyes as she sat down on the couch.
"Yes, Emma," Cory stated as he rolled his eyes at the girl. "Okay I'm gonna ask you a question and you just have to answer honestly." Emma was going to answer but she felt the couch move a bit. She turned her head and saw Eric perched on the side of the couch.
"I just- I can't" Emma said as she stood up from the couch, even though she just sat down. "Wait," Cory said as Emma turned to leave. She turned around and faced Cory looking at him with annoyance in his face.
He pointed the camera in her face as he asked, "Emma what are your thoughts on what's more important, love or sex?" Emma took a big intake of air and rolled her eyes a little. She exhaled as she thought of how to answer.
"My thoughts on what's more important?" Emma started with a question.
"Yes. That's what I asked you," Cory interrupted. Emma glared at him. "Sorry, continue."
"I think that love is more important," Emma said. "Why?" Cory asked her.
"Because Cory, sex is a very valuable thing, and love is what truly makes it valuable and enjoyable." Emma shrugged, "And if you do it when you're not in love with that person then, well, it's not valuable or enjoyable." Emma opened the door and turned around to add something, "But that's just my personal opinion, I can't speak for everyone." Emma walked out the house closing the door.

Over the next few days Emma had been busy with volleyball and schoolwork. Eric and Emma hadn't hung out with each other and finally they were able to sit down and talk with one another; even though it was during lunch, at the lunch table, in the lunchroom. Well, Emma was at the table, Eric was getting a drink.
He was walking back to the table when Emma spoke, "Almost done," she was writing her last answer down on her math homework. "And done." She dropped her pencil down on the table and looked up at Eric with a smile. Eric slightly smiled back as he slightly shook his head. Eric sat down on her right side, and they started eating and talking.
After a few minutes of talking none other then Cory Matthews came and sat down by the two older high schoolers.
"Hi," the little kid said.
"Cory, what a surprise," Eric smiled sarcastically.
"What time bomb Eric?" Cory started slightly yelling. "You can't just walk by and go 'Tick, tick, tick.' What's that supposed to mean?" Eric set his fork down as Emma looked at the kid with confusion all over her face.
"What did you say to him?" Emma asked Eric but still looking at Cory. Eric ignored her question and starting talking to his brother. "Look, I'm just concerned you're not ready for the make out party tonight."
"I know how to kiss." Cory stated defensively. Eric subtly rolled his eyes and let out a small chuckle.
"You think it's that simple?" Cory was about to answer when Eric continued, "And what happens when she has braces? What happens if your noses hit? I mean, what if a hanger hooks you like a large mouth bass? Do you even know what to do with your hands?"
"No!" Cory exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air, hitting Emma in the face. Emma flinched as she said, "Ow." Cory looked at her apologetically.
"Sorry Emma," Cory told the girl.
"It's fine." Emma blinked trying to get her vision back, "You hit very dainty anyways." Eric let out a laugh and gave Emma a high five as Cory let out a "Hey!" Emma just looked at Cory rubbing her eye slightly.
