"Hello Matthews..." Emma exclaimed as she walked through the front door of the house. That quickly faded when she saw Alan with a stern look on his face. "Sorry, did I interrupt something?"
"Just talking to Eric about his grades," Amy answered as she was playing with her son's hair, who was curled into her side.
"Oh, sorry, I'll just come back later." Emma turned towards the door and started to open it.
"No, Emma, it's okay, we were just finishing up," Allan stopped her, "Take a seat." Emma waked over to the couch and sat down on the other side of Amy.
"Listen, I'm just not into school like other people," Eric complained. "I'm not like Emma, who is very smart and does sports; equally good at both." Emma pulled a confused face.
"Thank you?" Emma squeaked, "I'm not sure if that's supposed to be a compliment or not."
"I have an idea," Amy pipped up, "What if Emma helped you study? She tutors you; you get your grades up, and the end result will be getting your 'girls' back." Emma sat up straighter.
"What if I didn't want to tutor him?" She asked. Amy looked at her with a straight face. Emma coiled back up. Amy smiled sweetly at her as she leaned towards Emma a bit.
"You'll be my favorite child," the older woman bribed.
"Done," Emma jumped up from the couch, "I'm going to make a study plan." She headed towards the door and opened it. Before she left, she turned to Eric. "We're going to have the best study week ever!"

"I know who it is," Eric told the blond behind him. Emma was leaning on the locker next to his with her books in her hands. "Be kind and move on," Eric continued.
"My parents are out of town," Lori stated. Eric whimpered sadly as he whipped around. "I've been having trouble adjusting the temperature on my hot tub." Eric let out another whimper.
"Oh brother," Emma mumbled as she rolled her eyes.
"I wondered if maybe you could come over and help me get the heat up?" Lori continued.
"Lori if you had any feelings for me," Eric started, "Go home. Get ugly."
"Okay," Lori said turning around and tucking a piece of hair behind her hair. "I'll go ask Phil." Emma let out a small chuckle as Lori walked off. Eric slammed his locker shut and banged his head against it. Emma spotted Jason walking down the hallway. They glanced at each other and gave one another amused smiles.
"Locker head man," Jason said sarcastically, "I heard you signal and came as quickly as I could." Eric turned around with a straight face.
"Nice one," Emma chuckled out; she gave Jason a fist bump, but once she looked at Eric, she quickly tried to hide her smile. "Sorry, it's not funny."
Eric let out a sigh, "Guys I'm going nuts. The more I try to study, the more I think about girls." He walked closer to Jason and the three of them huddled together. "Look at this. History. Look at this perfect example."
"Eric—" Emma started but was soon cut off by Eric once again.
"Queen Victoria," page turn, "Catherine The Great," page turn, "Madam Curie. Are they yummy or what?"
"Yummy," Jason agreed sarcastically. He glanced at Emma who only gave him an eye roll and a small shake of her head.
"Oh, and who is this raven-haired beauty?" Eric asked pointing to the picture in the book.
"Eric that's—" Emma started.
"Leonardo da Vinci," Jason finished for her. He looked at Eric with concern and pointed his finger at him. "Stop that. You're scaring me."
