Ch 6: Escape

The ship came to a landing as the three of us got off. A pirate jumped out with a scanner, making sure we had no weapons.

"Follow me" he said.

Inside, music was playing as everyone stared at us. I looked around as the pirate held his hand out.

"Gentleman" a man said. "And lady? Can I offer you something to drink?"

"No, thank you" I said.

"A woman as beautiful as you surely could go for a drink" he said.

I smiled tilting my head.

"Congratulations on your capture of Count Dooku" I said. "Very impressive."

"Yes, it was" he said. "Even a Sith Lord is no match for my warriors. He put up quite a fight. Blasters, cannons, that glowy thing."

"You mean a lightsaber?" Obi-Wan asked.

"That's it" he said. "And I don't need to tell you, those things can do some damage. Carved up some of my best men pretty good before I could get the jump on him."

"And how exactly did you get the jump on him?" Anakin asked.

I looked at his pet as it poured something into a cup.

"With this?" He asked as his lightsaber went to his hand.

Everyone stood up, cocking their guns to us.

"We have no interest in disagreeing with you" I said. "All we want is to confirm you are holding Dooku, and we'll go."

"I will arrange a meeting" he said.

One of his men brought us down a hall before pointing to a cell. The doors opened, revealing Dooku being held up by electromagnetic restraints.

"Look how the mighty Sith Lord has fallen" Obi-Wan said.

"This place suits you, count" Anakin said.

"It wasn't so long ago that you yourself were in similar surroundings on my ship" Dooku said.

"Yeah but now I'm free and you're not" he said.

"I'm confident the situation will rectify itself soon" Dooku said.

"Soon you'll be brought to trial by the Senate and most likely spend a very long time in a cell just like this one" I said.

I slowly walked towards the door as the other two followed.

"I don't know about you guys but I could use some rest" Anakin said.

"This still could be a trap" I said.

"Jedi!" A man yelled walking towards us. "Now that your business is completed, we invite you to join us in the grand hall for a banquet. And a true Weequay banquet is not to be missed.

I looked at Anakin and Obi-Wan before walking to the ship. Obi-Wan contacted the chancellor as we quickly left and entered the grand hall. A man walked towards us with a drink in hand.

"Honda requests your presence" he said looking to me.

"Who?" I asked. "Me?"

I looked at Anakin before following the man. I sat down at the table as Hondo slid a cup towards me.

"Now tell me where are you from?" He asked.

"Alderaan" I said. "My parents were killed, assassinated to be exact."

"You're the first female Jedi I have met" he said. "Not what I was expecting."

"Which is?" I asked.

I turned around seeing Anakin and Obi-Wan on the ground as a needle entered my neck. I slowly opened my eyes before lifting my head up. I realized I was in a cell alone as I stood up.
