I sat at the edge of my bed staring at the picture in my hands. I smiled looking at how happy Cal was as Gree stood in the middle of us with his arms around us. I set the picture back down at the side of my bed as I stood up, walking out. I walked down the hall, looking out to the younglings outside. I looked over my shoulder as Rex walked up to me.
"General Skywalker has been looking for you" he said.
"I figured" I said.
"Are you avoiding him?" He asked.
"I wouldn't say that" I said.
"You're definitely avoiding him" he said.
"I thought you were with General Secura?" I said.
"Bly didn't really appreciate our assistance" he said. "You know how he is."
"Oh I'm well aware" I said. "I actually should be heading to talk with the Chancellor."
"Good luck with that" he said.
I patted him on the back as I walked away. I sighed walking to Chancellor Palpatine's chambers. I looked at the guards as they stood up straight.
"I need to talk to the Chancellor" I said.
"He is busy" one of them said.
"It's urgent, I am Master Luna Organa" I said.
They looked between each other, moving out of the way opening the doors. The Chancellor sat at his desk with Amedda by his side.
"Master Organa, what a pleasant surprise" he said.
"Chancellor" I said slowly bowing my head. "I would prefer if we spoke alone?"
He turned to Amedda nodding his head as the man exited the room. I sat down opposite to him as he had his hands clasped together on his desk.
"I don't mean to be rude but I feel that I am not needed to participate in the investigation. My presence could be used in far more useful situations" I said.
"Now, Master Organa-" he started.
"I am very firm in my decision to distance myself as far as possible from this investigation" I said. "I am not senator, I am a mere Jedi, peacekeeper if you will, at least trying to be."
"I have noticed changes in your demeanor since the loss of your padawan" he said.
"Excuse me?" I said.
"I have eyes everywhere, Master Organa" he said. "You have turned into a rather angry, rage filled person, have you not? And I mean after all your second padawan was behind a terrorist attack on the Jedi Temple."
"I had nothing to do with that" I said.
"Yet, if you had noticed perhaps it could have been prevented" he said. "And you."
"What about me?" I asked.
He smiled as his head shook.
"The dark side runs in your bloodline, does it not?" He asked.
I tilted my head as my eyes narrowed on him.
"I am the first Jedi in my bloodline" I lied.
"Why lie? You are a direct descendant of the infamous Darth Revan" he said.
"He was a Jedi first then fell to the dark side but he redeemed himself with the Jedi Order" I said. "I'm well aware of the history of Revan."
"Still a legendary Sith Lord would you say?" He asked.
"I believe this discussion is over" I said.
I stood up walking towards the door when he spoke causing me to stop in my tracks.
"How would the Jedi Council feel about your affair with General Skywalker?" He asked.
"There is no affair to be spoken of" I said. "He is merely a close friend."
I walked out of the doors, going back to the Jedi Temple. I walked directly into Master Depa Billaba as I smiled.
"I'm sorry, Master" I said. "I wasn't watching where I was going."
"No need to apologize, Master Organa" she said.
"It seems it's been forever since I seen you last" I said. "I heard about your injury, glad you're up on your feet. I also heard about a new padawan?"
"Caleb Dume" she smiled. "He is an exceptional young man."
I smiled remembering Cal.
"I sense sadness inside you" she said.
My head jolted up as I forced a smile.
"I'm fine" I said.
"You know, Cal was an extraordinary Commander" she said. "I was lucky enough to see him in the role. You taught him well, Luna. Don't ever doubt that."
I looked down to his saber on my belt, smiling.
"There's a lot of younglings awaiting a master to be appointed to them" she said. "Who knows, third times a charm."
"I was against the thought of getting another padawan when Poppy was assigned to me" I said. "I'll never find another like him. And I'm okay with that. I'd rather have nobody by my side if it's not him."
She smiled, putting her hand on my arm.
"You are so much like your master" she said. "He refuses to get another padawan after you."
I turned my head as Anakin rounded the corner. He looked at me surprised as I turned away completely from Master Billaba.
"General Skywalker, it is nice to see you" she said.
"You too, Master Billaba" Anakin said. "Uh- Organa, I see you're not on Scipio right now."
"I felt it was necessary to step away from the investigation entirely" I said. "I had no real reason to apart of it in the first place."
He hid a smile as Depa excused herself. I crossed my arms as Anakin stepped forward.
"I'm going to make this very clear, for the last time, I have and never will have feelings for Rush Clovis" I said. "I have only ever loved one man, by the name of Anakin Skywalker."
"I'm so sorry, Luna" he said.
"I just want trust" I said. "I stand by my words I said days ago."
He nodded holding his hand out. I smiled, wrapping my arms around his body as he slowly did the same.
"I love you, Anakin" I whispered.
"I love you too" he said.
I moved his hair back, getting a better look at his eyes.
"Am I interrupting something?" Obi-Wan asked as he snuck up.
I stepped back from Anakin as I looked at him.
"Something tells me you have a mission for us?" I asked.
"Indeed I do" he said.
We followed Obi-Wan to the war room as Plo-Koon and Mace stood near the center console.
